Just bought one! Nice little powerhouse of a compact drill/driver. Robust construction and quality feel that I would expect from Metabo. I can't see me using it with the chuck off very often, it is too much of a ball ache to remove it. Unless in a tight space just pop the bit holder in the chuck. If they had made the hole in the back of the chuck just a little larger a 1/4 hex drive would have passed through and engaged the hex in the drive shaft without removing the chuck.
