This is so helpful! I've been working on my forehand a lot recently, and gotten it to where it's usable and it's helped me get birdies/pars I've struggled with before, but every now and then, it goes straight into the ground. I've had trouble trying to isolate what's been causing that inconsistency and now looking at some of my old videos, I see my off arm shoulder position is all over the place. I can't wait until I'm off work and can go practice this.

Im excited to try out making sure my left arm is up! Currently i just let it flop around, and crank super overstavle discs about 350ft, but I definitely am needing to work on being able to throw more understable in order to have more control.

Low to high swing is my cue. Also if the swing goes low to high a flat release will be nose down. I think forehands is quite often pretty easy to see if they fly low but still far you most likely have it nose up.

My dad gave me a baseball batting tip (I don’t play baseball, but we pitched to each other for a couple hours) that I applied to my forehand to good effect. Keep weight on your back foot. I think it’s a similar effect to keeping the front shoulder high, but worded differently and a lower body cue, rather than upper body. You also mentioned your forward bias, which I never thought was an issue until I felt that balance by holding my weight back. As soon as my arm recovered from pitching (took a while), my forehand felt the smoothest it had ever been and I gained distance. You can’t keep the weight solely on that back foot, but holding it longer seems to help me ‘keep a level swing plane.’ For anyone who wants to try out a new cue to try to fix forehand wobble or throwing it too downward, keeping weight on the back foot worked for me… now I just need to use that cue again. :/

The arm up cue is honestly really good. I'll have to steal it for people turfing!

I kept my off shoulder up by accident a number of times and had great forehands but I didn't know what I did right.

It was the grip that fixed my forehand and gave me power in it.... I also have chubby baby hands so getting that right made all of the difference. A more natural grip coming from a background of throwing in sports helped. On the bottom of the rim I have the index and ring finger against the inside rim and underside of the disc with the middle finger gripping or leveraging the outside under rim. This allows my thumb to have a full grip on the outside upper rim giving me more spin.

I had loads of issues with blasting my FH straight into the ground. I fixed this with focusing on my forhand reachback, not reaching back to high, I think this is underspoke of. I also mimicked Eagles left hand on the disc in the run up to get upper body in position, that helps a lot as well

Any time I try to throw a power forehand it nose dives into the dirt 80ft away. I sometimes feel my inner left hip (im right handed) pull tight to where its uncomfortable. I even try to compensate for the nose dive throw by trying to lean back on my right foot and purposely try to throw the disc upwards. That usually leads to me shanking the disc left. I havnt recorded my forehand throw so I'm sure I'll see lots of issues when I do. thanks for the queue though, I'll definitely give it a shot

Robbie C has you throw from a chair to focus on the release. Also only throw putters

Got a cue for throwing nose up? For the longest time that plagued me, and finally stopped it for the most part but just making sure I pull straight through. It’s pretty obvious most of the time but there are times I turf it from over compensating though. Trying to figure out how to combine this with that, if it makes sense.

Dropping your back knee helps keep your throw on plane too.

This kinda looks like how Gannon explains forehands. His throw seems really compact and efficient as well

Super weird. Out of the blue i just started dirting my forehands. Never had an issue with this before, but clearly something went off track that was never a problem before. Maybe this is it.

I’m noticing you kind of tilt the disc forward in your hand during your wind up, I wonder if that leads to some inconsistency. Looks weird to me…

Be loose, stick butt out, over your shot, use hips, lag arm, faster the disc the more you need to drive through it.
