I've been going to BoDeans concerts since 1986. I've been to over 3,000 concert's in my lifetime. BODEANS is still one of my favorite live bands ever. Still sounding great. KURT thank you for the music. Thank you for so many good things. A perfect dream tour would be "Bodeans with LONE JUSTICE feat Maria McKee".

I'm so glad Kurt is still keeping the Bodeans going. I have been a fan since 1989 when I heard "You Don't Get Much"and "Red River" in the film "The Wizard". Bought every Bodean CD I could find.

Kenny Aronoff played with John Mellencamp during his big years and a whose who of other major rock bands…he’s a drumming legend. But, he’s played with the BoDeans more than any other band!
@williamcarnell22512 жыл бұрын
Kenny Aronoff has played with just about everybody from the Beatle band from the 50th anniversary show in 2014, John Fogerty and even on a Taylor Swift video. I saw him with the BoDeans on the Resolution album tour and Kurt joked that he was the highest paid guy on stage. With him on drums, it was the best of the 4 BoDeans shows I've seen since 1993.

Hugely enjoyable set. BoDeans catalog is prodigious and underappreciated. Aronoff is an estimable drummer. He over-drums here. Kenny. Dial it back a few clicks. Paradise and a few other tracks sorely need Llanas.

I have seen them 8 times and i want to guess 3 times with Kenny behind the drums, maybe 4. Now, I don't know what your using to listen to this with but.... over-drums??? The drumming is as absolutely incredible as it is creative, not just some standard, typical 4/4 beat. He is one of the best live drummers I have seen and I have seen some good ones. I don't know but maybe you mix is just off because of the source of the audio but i have listened to it through Sennheiser headphones on laptop and also Klipsch floor speakers trough a Yamaha Adventage receiver and Iam blown away by the percussion.

@@warriorsavior As I said, Aronoff is an outstanding drummer - no question. I greatly admire him - he's powerful, always in the pocket, great left hand. But, to me here, his fills are unnecessarily showy. He's rhythm section after all. In this set, I think I would have preferred --- Steve Gadd? Glenn Kotche?
@warriorsavior4 жыл бұрын
@@josephclifford163 I can surely understand your opinion, even as subjective as it is. But it does sound as if you have an above average knowledge of music and drummers which makes me wonder how Gadd or Kotche would have handled the task. Lastly, thanks for not taking offense as none was meant.

Underunderrated band

the drummer is definitely 'driving' the first few songs....maybe that is what you mean by over-drumming? Seems like something shifted about mid way through their set. Almost as if the drummer 'calmed' down...his hi-hats and cymbals are pretty loud in the mix to me, as a drummer myself I found it a bit distracting.
