Mine was fine. Could try to replace movement. Or open it up and take a look.

the changed the packaging...No travel case just a black case that looks like a shipping container

Yes. Great watch. I just wouldn't have worn much so I flipped. I actually sold an other watch and added this one as a sale incentive.
