Addressing A Major Issue With The Chevy LS Engine For my Honda Accord Brass Trunion Upgrade

Today we went ahead and addressed one of the biggest issues with the Chevy LS1. This is how to install and upgrade your stock LS rockers with needle bearing and upgrade them to the brass style. The process on how you install them is just by pressing them out with the correct sockets in order to apply pressure in the correct areas and different sockets for installing the brass upgrade. Also we made some headway on assembling the motor by installing the oil pan gasket, Head gasket, and also the new chromoly Texas Speed push rods. Thanks for watching.

I don't remember what year passenger mirrors became standard, but they were listed as options, and you had to fork over some cash to have one. I had some cars from the 70s that also did not have passenger mirrors.

I always use a torque wrench on TTY bolts. I final pass torque them to 65 ft lbs. Come back a few hrs later and retorque them again to 65 ft lbs. Then check them in the morning again. They always stretch alittle. You just cant do this with the factory assembly line angle method.

Adam, I went and got the CHE solid bushings from Texas Speed like yours. I've also got satin black valve covers from Holley to get rid of all the ignition coil cap OEM brackets and have a cleaner look. I was told from Texas Speed to measure the push rods when I get them out before I order the chromoly push rods from them. Saved this video so I can follow your very detail examples to replace the trunnions and how to install them as well. As always, keep up the great work! My 87 Civic came with only a driver side mirror and middle one. Lol I did that first.

FYI... the trunnion bushes may be shiny like brass.. but brass they aint. BRONZE bush trunnions they are.

Come on ls accord 🔥 and passenger mirrors from factory was a luxury in japan because of right hand drive so most wore bought with no right side mirror and people had them put on once you got to the dealer

They only put it on one side because normally you only join traffic from one side. Silly i know but hey it Es what it Es

Sedan mirrors are not exactly the same as hatchback ones. Mounting plate does not have the same angle. I'm not sure you will be able to mount these Sedan mirrors on you hatch. If you do, it will probably weirdly lean at the wrong angle. You need to look for 3 doors hatchback or 2 doors coupe mirrors only
