I appreciate that! I wish I could keep them all but unfortunately that’s not the case. Money and space plays the biggest factor in me doing these things. At the end of the day I can always build new projects and I am the builder. The built itself doesn’t mean as much.

I never had an uncle with an El Camino but my uncle did buy a brand new 1980 Corvette that was cream white with red interior. So this is still giving me Uncle Johnny vibes. He's still with us, he'd probably like this build. He liked Chevys and Hondas both back in the day.

Couple things you have going i like... 1...the Gantry lift is awsome for motors. Most of my stuff is truck stuff, lifted and lowered... lowered is hard to get my lift under lower control arms... and lifted trucks i have hard time getting engine high enough.. 2 is the winch. I just mounted a 12,000# winch on my trailer with a reciever and love it, so i can pull off trailer and use in shop. Alot of the time, i am by myself

Best way ive found to not have to be scared sanding the letters is to rub them with chapstick before you paint, once its dry you can literally wipe it right off and no sanding needed😂 but looking good man!

I started using a small paint brush and painting a thin layer of grease on the letters before I painting the valve cover then it just whipes right off at the end

There’s no way that this works clean. The edges would lift and leave a sloppy line. I appreciate your comment, but I’m not thinking that it works that way. I can be wrong though.

maibe you can experiment heating up the paint after its applied and maibe use different solvents as thinner to get the right wrinkle finish if you manage to get the exact same finish you might be able to sell the process or do more of them for others my father was an old time fotographer who devellopped a way to put pictures on painters canvas and he allso made sumting to make modern black and white pictures look like the older brownish style never made money out of it but did made some "beer money" from a lot of those pictures for people who liked them

I wonder if there's a way to make it more rear biased. I bet that CR-V is probably front/rear 70/30 or 60/40. The awd alone makes it better than that "Mustang" that one guy made. Also those fans in the wall are a bad ass idea. You're one of the few people that make me can't wait to build something, once I can get my life together. Being almost 40 with nothing sucks.
