I read such utterances here and I think we need to get one thing straight. The Buddha did not ask anyone to believe in his teachings unless they experienced those to be the truth within themselves. This can only be found within when we let go of all clinging. It is a simple teaching, one which I have followed all my life. Let go - don't grasp - all will be revealed!

Bodhgaya is filled with positivity especially woth all yhe buddhist temples around and the whole scenery of spirituality just makes he place so calm environment. Its my favourite spot in the world and Im flying to Bodhgaya for pilgrimage soon.

buddhism isn't about a place, it's about the all world. it's great to respect the ones who became buddha, but it's so much more clever to encourage the other one to try to arrive to the illumination. enjoy this place but don't hope find happiness just by going there, because the only way to elevation is in your own heart, not under a tree. When you'll find it, you'll be under all the trees.

Bodh Gaya is birthplace of Buddhism. He got enlightened in Bodh Gaya and founded Buddhism. When he was born in Nepal he was a Hindu by the name of Siddhartha Gautama.

Bodh Gaya is the holiest place of Buddhism. There is no Buddhist holy site in Japan, Buddha has never visited Japan. There are only 4 holy sites in Buddhism, none are in Japan because it is not a Japanese religion. The 4 most holy sites of Buddhism are: 1. Bodh Gaya, India the birthplace of Buddhism. Where Siddhartha Gautama got enlightened and founded Buddhism, becoming Buddhist in the process. 2. Is Lumbini, Nepal the birth place of Siddhartha Gautama, this is where he grew up as a Hindu born in a Hindu family. 3. Sarnath, India where Buddha gave his first sermon and his first teachings. 4. Kushinagara, India where Buddha died. On this basis, Japan isn't sacred for Buddhism at all. Only Nepal and India are as it is a Indian religion.
