Amazing ghost town! I love how the houses are just left frozen in time. It’s nice how you pretty much have a free run of the whole town. Really my kind of place!!!
@CRJourney203 жыл бұрын
You do have free run of the place except you can't go into the buildings or the mines. the place is truly frozen in time almost like someone had to run away from it. It reminded us of the pictures we have seen of Chernobyl. Why did they not take their stuff ...no one knows. So interesting to see we really want to go back again one day.

It's always fascinating to see how people lived way back in the old times. Awesome ghost town to see. Everything is covered in years of dust.

We love seeing the old mining towns. This one was incredible the way everyone had just left everything behind it was like pictures we had seen of Chernobyl. It is great that they made it a state park to preserve it. We will definitely make a trip here again to explore more one. day. Thanks for watching.

That is so cool you went to Bodie,ive been reading about it for years but ive never had the up close look until now! Did you hear about the letter that a minor's daughter wrote having just found out her daddy was moving them to Bodie? Historians cannot figure out if she wrote "good, by god we're moving to Bodie" , or "Goodbye God, we're moving to Bodie". Its reputation really was rough in its day!
@CRJourney203 жыл бұрын
Wow never heard that story....very interesting. We found Bodie to be the most interesting place we have seen. There is so much to see and explore that we will definitely return there one day to see more. Bought a book to read up on the towns fire system. How did it burn down when they had a fire system....no one knew how it worked. Another interesting story. Thanks so much for watching and commenting as we really do appreciate it.

This is a real gem. In order to go to this one you really have to plan out your day as it is really remote and down a long dirt (gravel) road. It is a crazy sight to see not only being a ghost town but the way that everyone just left and did not take things with them. Crazy to see it intact just under a layer of dust. It is a crazy town to see and we can not wait to go back again one day. We were just saying that it is wild that they took very little with them when they left. There are many things of high value even back in the day that were just left behind. You would think the people were running away from something like it was Chernobyl. Hey guys! What type of car do you guys have? We love off-roading 🙌🏼 I’ve never seen houses built on rocks before 😂 All the original things in the houses are so cool! Soo creepy as well. The storeroom was particularly impressive for things! Impressive about the fire system. I’m a teacher so I would have loved to explore the school house in more detail. Everything is preserved so well! We would love to visit one day! Thanks for a day of exploring - we really enjoyed it! New supporters here ☺️ See you guys soon - Em + Tom 🙌🏼

We took our small Mercedes down that wild dirt road but it was important to get to that ghost town. The town was amazing as it looks like everyone left in a hurry and did not take their belongings. No indication why they would leave it all behind and it reminded us of pictures we had seen of Chernobyl. The school rooms were interesting to see as it was all set up for October and Halloween. Really fun to see a place that is hard to get to. Thanks for watching and we subscribed to your channel to see your great adventures.

@@CRJourney20 Ahhh nice! It handled those roads really well then. Yeah that’s so strange but fascinating - I would love to know why they left everything behind. I’m sure that must have been really hard. Definitely reminds me of Chernobyl too! I heard they were set up for Halloween - how fun but also eerie 😅 No worries! And thank you so much for the sub back, that means a lot to us ☺️ See you soon!
