Today we are bracing the body of the 1960 VW Beetle so we can remove the body from the chassis to start all of the metal fabrication that will be taking place.
Part 8 to a multipart series on a combo build where we are mixing a Volksrod, Baja, Racecar and other designs from all types of Volkswagen Beetle builds and rolling it into one epic build... I hope lol

Rewatching bracing and body removal videos. Will be a big help with removing mine. A lot of the same issues and repairs to do on the body and chassis. Just waiting on Drs release on the broken leg, little slower at 73. Lol.

Ah, that steering wheel is temporary... I have another one ready to go when the build is ready for it. I’m dreading all of the body work but it has to be done. Appreciate your support and friendship.

Yes sir, she’ll have a sleek mean look to her. The 2054 from jawbreaker will go into this one and I’ll build a spare parts 1600 for jawbreaker.

@@VWJawbreaker I need to ask you about the 40 ICT’s that you put on your pals bus, why 40s and not 34s? And what would work better in Clive’s 2000 do you think?

@@deanrobinson3717 he had the 34 ICT’s on there and the 2.0L was doing great. He wanted to switch to the 40 IDF’s to see if there was much difference. Either way the bus engines run well, just depends on what you want out of it. For normal driving I’d run the 34’s, if you want a little more umph run 40 IDF’s.
