I'm in my 20's and just starting to get deep into bharatanatyam. This was super helpful to follow and I've been doing this daily to keep from aching after class! Thank you so much!

OMG I didn't know dancers do all these exercises. Its great. Now i understood how many of the dancers still keep their bodies intact.😉

Thank you for this warm up ~ I have done it now many times and try to implement it in my routine during the week at least 2-3 times. It really helps me to tone the relevant muscle parts for my bharatanatyam. The teacher is giving some really helpful comments, worth watching again and agin.

most of the teachers are like that . maybe in india. esp.

Yes they might seem serious but they will be very warm at heart. They actually care a lot about their students.
@MyGod_IsAwesome2 ай бұрын
she reminded me of the character of Supriya Pathak in ramleela movie,maybe the big bindi. But yes some of my teachers were very serious,its just the way they were brought up. But I personally prefer soft teachers , why add one more stressor to life,being afraid of your teacher.

Hi that's Soo nice am able to do everything except the side stretch or side lunges how did u do it may I know?
If you want to become a serious artist of authentic Bharata Natyam because thats practically disappeared first take care of your body not to become overweight that means nutrition meals not filling the body because you are hungry and adavus practise till you drop “ dead” that will make your body mind powerful and give you a good figure as well! some yoga movements always good after the training to cool down the body!

Excellent video..very good warm up, stretches and great explanation and motivation. Just make sure that stretches are done after 10 minutes of cardio by way of some dance movements before stretching since stretching cold muscles might lead to injury

This is really a great video. It would be good if there could be a progression tip showed. Like for example not everyone can immediately do the side leg stretches. So if there was a guidance on how it can be slowly developed , it would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙏
