Sometimes we give too much at the girlfriend stage. We have to learn when to hold back on the wifey treatment at the girlfriend stage because sometimes these men don’t deserve all of that.

We see a woman with a high body count the same way you see a guy who constantly got his azz kicked in fights time and time again in his past - he just got beat and abused by the other guys and never won - now he says he's going to protect you😅. you stop being attracted to him even though he may treat you well. Worse is when everyone knows you are married to the guy that constantly got his azz kicked in his past - just a loser. Same way men see guys who are married to women we know who has a high body count- he's married to a loser - "she got her azz kicked by many men" - also throat cancer (from giving plenty of head) and HPV is at an all time high among these blk female number runners-don't do it!

Another great topic for the sistas, I am married myself but I have been preaching this to my good friends for years. The women that I have in my life that express they want to find that good man and want to find solid relationships, you have to be in touch with your source, and know your worth stop giving Everyman a piece of you, Everyman doesn’t deserve you, and then it 10x harder to detach if it doesn’t work out. That’s when those feeling of low esteem kick in and the devil just loves when we hate ourselves, he will send another an another disappointment our way to distract from what God truly has aligned for us.

My body count is actually 5.. that shouldn’t take away from a woman’s (speaking for myself experience). I realized I LOVE women .. as much as I do men. I can please a man as much as I can please a woman. I understand that this is your experience and opinion. I’m just speaking up for myself and also trying to relate to the audience (as I’m sure you are). “Spin around the block” I don’t mind anyone who doesn’t have “experience”. That means nada to me. I am not vulnerable to just anyone. I know some people that hold sex in that same regard. I am 27 and I still don’t share my body with anyone (hence my body count being 5).

As a guy who is saving himself for marriage, I appreciate this conversation because it gives me a bit more perspective from the female side of things. I had a situation not too long ago when a girl didn't want to be in a relationship with me because my body count is 0 AND the fact that I'm waiting until after I get married to get jiggy with it. She said that sex is a big factor for her in a relationship/marriage. If her partner isn't good at it then that's a no no. Even worse would be to wait until AFTER marriage to discover her husband is a dud in the bed. Geez, people lied when they told me that the worst thing that a girl can say is "No" 😒

Don't be discouraged, brother. Keep waiting. There are Christian women who are abstaining and will work with you til it's right once you're married. The problem is too many of us are claiming to be Christians and freely engaging in pre-marital sex. They are developing appetites and preferences that they should not have walking into marriage. Period.

@@beautybeads7285 yeah it's not like I judged her at all because of her sexual past either. It's funny how looking back you realize how certain standards change as you get older. Personally, my 'virgin' decision was made when I came to Christ at 8. As I got older, I wanted to make my decision to NOT have sex prior to marriage a personal one rather than a 'because I'm Christian' one. I mean we all get older and start asking questions about things. The bible speaks against people getting piercings and tattoos. How come this deacon, pastor, usher, gospel singer, etc. in the church has a tattoo, piercing, spoke about their 'wild times' in their youth and still claim to love God? Made me realize that just because we do unbiblical things, that doesn't mean God loves us less. It's a matter of realizing we did those things but want to DO BETTER to get closer to Him. I wanted to eventually get married to a virgin, but as I got older; I realized that situation looks less and less likely as time goes on. I'm about to turn 32 in a couple of months and I realize that my standard needed a bit tweaked just a bit. Would I still like to marriage a virgin? Yes. Does my future wife HAVE to be a virgin? No!

Let me tell you that these grills probably have 100+ body counts. When they refuse to say it aloud, it is too high. The guest even reveals that she cannot tell her count to her momentary partner without him feeling crushed by it. "Oh no I am dating a serial 304." :D

This is a very very very sad and lacking of educational discussion on the topic... I can see why so many women are confused, angry, upset, etc about it... As the data shows, men care and will continue to CARE! There is no reset on body count and its quite evident in both these single women's lives; why no man has decided them worthy enough to put a ring on it. Men who just want to hit dont care. Men who are thinking longterm care. Its not insecurity its protecting ourselves and our investment.

This is why I don't want a man's love, I want his respect. I just feel like a man's version of "love" is whack. If he can "love" me and sleep with other women this means that he has a warped diminished version of "love" that I won't tolerate. With them its all about respect.

So far this is the issue I have with this body count conversation with women. At a certain age I will say men do need to be a bit more realistic with the amount of partners a woman has been with. But at the same time, majority of women including these two grown women constantly show that they don’t care about how men feel about certain situations because it doesn’t benefit them. Some of the reasons we ask because we want to know what her mental state was like. Was she the type of girl who just gave it out, was she the type of woman who was just carefree and reckless. We want to know because we as men understand that with more the more sex you have with a different men it doesn’t take a toll on a woman. Because men will use and discard you and know you hate men and all men ain’t shit. Not to mention we think about will she teach our daughter that sleeping around is good thing to do. Whats the old saying “a fathers job is to make sure our daughter doesn’t end up on the poll”. Men don’t want a promiscuous partner. The difference is we don’t care if your good in bed or not we like to be the one to teach. But as the ladies pointed out they don’t want to teach a man. Do you see the difference? We have to have a lot of sex but that does not mean a lot of partners. Also women tend to like men who other women have find attractive and has been with a lot of women because it is a testimony to him understanding women. Thats why the popular boys had women going crazy while the popular girls didn’t have the boys sweating her the same. Women need to come to terms that you are inherently selfish and only like the double standard when it benefits yourself. Are the one’s who need to grow up. Also a woman can say a man MUST make X amount of money (even if they don’t have it), has to be X height (if he’s not she will ignore everything else that makes him a great partner), not to mention he HAS to have a big xyz. All men say is don’t be a hoe. You see how the difference?

The comment about not taking advice from a woman that has only been with 11 men sexually threw me off. If we are talking about wanting committed marriages at this point, why shame women who haven’t been with a lot of men??? Everybody is different. I think 11 is a lot but others may think it’s not. Just let ppl be!

I appreciate this conversation. It's funny how so many women who are ashamed of their body count still want men who are sexually experienced. Body count does matter. If you are emotionally present with the people who you have sex with, then you are sharing the most intimate parts of yourself with them, which ultimately create soul ties. But mature men don't truly care "how many" men a woman has slept with, it's more about "who" they slept with. Men understand attractive women get attention. If I am attracted to a woman, I know a lot of other men are too. Jasmin and Crystal represent the type of women who I've always been attracted to but who were generally always out of my reach because they generally dated multiple men and would be in and out of relationships all the time... so they were never truly single.

That relationship with daddy and girls are really needed. Being a daddy's girl and how open he was with me was both good and bad because my tolerance for guys with BS was extremely low. I would leave a relationship quickly, and sometimes some things could have been worked on. But I still don't feel bad about compromising too much of myself.

Crystal, I love your craft and the “Keep it Positive, Sweetie” episodes. I am so enjoying your latest real girl talk with Jasmine Brown. Having been married for 19 years (yrs.) before my knight and shining armor went to be with the Lord almost four yrs. ago, watching this segment was cathartic for me. I haven’t had a man touch me since my Boaz left. I’ve experienced and graduated from an HBCU, Jesuit College and a major university therefore relatability of your conversation connects fully. I am close friends with one of the characters on “House of Payne.” My journey matches you and Jasmin’s. I had college flashbacks. Thanks for being real and beautiful. Watching you two has been very therapeutic. I so needed this. Thank You! Blessings🙏🏽

When Jasmin said she wishes she puts the same energy in her relationships in her life, I felt it. Why is it that women put relationships as such a priority. We work so that we can survive, but we intentionally desire relationships more than men -- or maybe it's because I'm younger idk. I honestly wish I desired a successful career in the same way I desired a good relationship with men especially the younger version of me

What is the age group for the comment section? What was so good and educational about this conversation? I'm in my 40s and felt like they should've kept this conversation on that couch without the cameras rolling. I can't believe they're friends. I don’t watch the show but Jasmin sounds like she's for the streets and Crystal seems confused and hypocritical. She doesn’t seem to carry herself like the type of God fearing man she wants. I was shocked at her outfit at the BET awards. She seems confused about what side of the fence she wants to be on. Like a Meagan Good type.
