The story of Jodi Arias and Travis Alexander is a tragic dumpster fire. Filled with an on and off relationship that was characterized by lust, obsession, and betrayal, the timeline ends in a terrible loss of life and a guilty conviction. While this case seems to be irrefutable, there is still much we can learn by examining the nonverbal communication of a master manipulator such as Jodi Arias. I hope you enjoy this lengthy analysis of Arias’ strange body language.

I’d love to see some body language analysis of interviews with people who were later proven innocent. I know they may be hard to find, but it would be just as interesting seeing truth telling body language as guilty body language.

So he agreed to a suspension but Jodi was gonna object and push for a harsher punishment but Nurmi, having spent so much time trying to get away from her, decided he didn't want to be wrapped up in any legal proceedings with her. @McPoyle Brothers @Cartswhat - I think you both are absolutely correct! 🎯 The act of killing him was the only way he would be hers (in her sick mind). It makes sense because she decided to kill him when she realized it was *truly over.* He had cut contact with her and he was totally done and wouldn't allow her to manipulate him anymore or have any contact. That's why I don't believe he knew she was coming that night, nor do it believe he let her in, she had already broken in many times. I also don't believe anything that happened that night was consensual. I've never understood why so many people accept that he did, there's no evidence of it, only her word which means nothing.

She never went into detail of her past, nor her childhood, so there’s NO WAY in hell we could actually break down her psyche. She will never feel sad when talking about him because she feels she owns him now. She was the last person he slept with and she made sure of it. The fact he won’t have a future with anybody else makes serving prison worth it. When an egotistical person feels betrayed, love turns to hate but the obsession is still there. How do I know? I easily could have been in her shoes in my early years. If I were Jodi, I would feel extreme satisfaction as I’m sure she does now.

I feel the same. I can relate to what she must be expierencing as I also was easily obsessed at a young age. When love turns to hate, but the obsession is still there.. its overwhelming. For me personally, I was always suicidal. I never thought about homicide. I would've committed suicide in her position. However, I can logically see from her perspective why she did what she did and what she gets out of it now. I'm glad you commented on how you relate to her expierence so that other people don't feel alone. I think your comment could hopefully help someone see their own patterns of toxic thoughts and behaviors. I'm proud of you for growing and no longer being that same person. Overcoming trauma is extremely hard and is a journey in itself. Again, great insight. ♡

I wish someone took a look at her body language or manipulation techniques on the stand during the trial. the way she was so determined to not answer yes or no and always be hyper literal with the prosecutor's questions. really shows her need to control the situation imo

If you saw the police pictures and autopsy photos of Travis then you would see how absolutely sadistic Jodi is. She stabbed him 27 times then nearly decapitated him then for fun she grabbed a gun and shot him in his face. I can’t imagine how detectives that knew what she did to Travis could put up with her lies. She is scary and evidently amoral.

When she starts doing handstands/headstands in the interrogation room, I’d say that’s pretty telling.

Our we the same group who comments on Dr Grande's shirts? I'm loving it! I wonder if we could get Dr Grande to put on a similar suit with a tiny flowered shirt with blue(? Or should it be green?) undertones. Or at least a tiny flowered tie. I think he would look smashing and still professional in it, too. Just my random thought.

To me, the line between love and hatred is only blurred for deranged people. You could never hurt a person you loved or had loved for real.

I agree with you 100% that she knew of the camera and you are also so incredibly spot on about the fact that she’s probably always got out of just about anything with her manipulation! You are seriously such a badass and so amazing at your craft! Thank you so much for sharing with the rest of us here....

My mother died 5 years ago and when ever I talk about happy fun times we had together I tear up. Jodi is never sad. She doesn’t say how much she misses him or anything along those lines, instead she asks Det. Flores many times about his family as if that shows how caring she is, it comes across as very manipulative and self preserving,,,don’t you think?

I think you have the best intro sequence of any KZbinr on the entire platform. It's short, it's catchy, and the sequence itself is really well-produced and interesting. It's not 30 seconds of yelling for a 10 minute video.

So I clicked this to watch a 39 minute video on Jodi Arias. 3 1/2 hours later I’m back to finish watching this video after watching the JCS video, getting lost in that videos comment section and also looking up and reading the autopsy report of Travis Alexander. I didn’t know this was going to be this kind of day.
