@@TheBehavioralArts I think Casey was doing what Casey does best. Making up bullshit lies to make herself the victim. When we asked Casey to bring Caylee to our apartment (bc we loved kids and we even kept books and toys in our home in case one of our friends wanted to bring their kid over) the answer was ALWAYS "Hell no, I need mommy time and if my parents will watch her then I'm letting them!" I don't know how Casey killed Caylee, but I'm positive the blood was on her hands. She was constantly pawning Caylee off to go party! She was KNOWN in the Orlando club scene and Caylee was a fucking burden to her! According to Casey her parents loved Kaylee immensely. Casey's objective was to take care of herself and herself alone. If somebody got in the way of Casey doing what Casey wanted to do, no they didn't. I was pregnant with my first child when Caylee was murdered by Casey. It definitely freaked me out when this happened but after seeing only a little bit of what they showed on TV I already knew that Casey definitely had both of her hands in this. Actually I think that the only reason that Casey decided to go on with her pregnancy with Caylee was because she wanted the attention that comes with being pregnant and having a newborn. That attention goes away after a little while and you no longer get that Rush of adrenaline that narcissists love to get by being showered with attention. Caylee no longer served her purpose. That's why Caylee is not here anymore. Do I know this to be a fact? No. But I do know Casey.

Talking about the Google search...part of the footage they didn't show ,when her mom and dad are visiting her in jail, her mom asks her about the passwords for her accounts saying they need it to get video and pictures of Caylee and she very quickly dismisses it saying she's given all that info to Lee (her brother). So if they all shared a passwords then why would they be asking her for them and her refusing to give it claiming she gave it to her brother. The way they skewed this docu-series is really crazy.

@@a_diamond I'll have to go back and look at the clip to be sure ( I had saw it yesterday which is why I even thought of that). From the way i understood it it was the setup where on the computer you have accounts where you can have a password or not depending how you set it. I do specifically remember the way it was said was like everything that way hers was password protected which ur right makes sense for like emails and social media. But for prosecution and all to attribute those searches to her computer/Google account specifically seems like that fits in my head to the clip I'm thinking of especially when she would know her family was working with the police giving them things....BUT with all that said you could be right and I could he way off base. That's absolutely possible. I think it hits me after refreshing myself on all the details of the case yesterday that there's alit of things that were important details throughout this series seems to just brush past or not address at all. Sorry for the novel and thank u for the other perspective! ✌💜😁

@@a_diamond Oh like another detail was there were 3 searches that day from her computer/Google account it was like 7something AM search for "shot girl costume" then 2:50 "suffocation" 2:51 "foolproof suffocation" So again it was like all these bits and pieces that when you put them all pointed to her. Same with the car they skipped over the dead body thing considering all the forensics there and the journal entry etc etc. Anyway yeah that's why I'm saying the way this doc presents it I see what ur saying where she gives an answer that most of us wouldn't think twice about cuz yeah my family knows my passwords hell even to most my personal accounts or they could easily guess them lol But there's all this other little details and context that make it not make sense from what she's saying. Ok I swear I'll shut up now lol

@@katekatangeleyes No no, you're fine. I don't mind long responses :) I agree there are a lot of details that seem "off" in this case in general.. I wonder why so much seems off.. not just about Casey, but about other family members too.. I don't know if it's just because of the way the footage was shot and framed, but I get a bad feeling from several people.. (to be fair, I actually am not overly familiar with this case. I like body language analysis but usually avoid cases like this, it upsets me too easily). I think you're right that a lot of the footage shown here seems to lack logical followup questions that I'd expect though.. I hope they did a better job in court...

George was devastated from the loss of Caylee and also losing Casey who he believed was not capable of such horror. What I found interesting in this interview is that Casey never referred to her daughter as “Kaylee” by her name. She always used words such as “she”, “her” “my daughter” “child”, “kid”and etc. I think this would have been an interesting topic to elaborate on. From what I’ve heard, by not using her name she distances herself from Kaylee. It also caught my attention because this video was supposed to be about Kaylee, but not once did she use her name. very narcissistic and self centered. By the way great analysis and video!!

I'm really glad you provided insight from your field of expertise. I find it extremely strange the Private Investigator continued to maintain such a close relationship AFTER the verdict was received. I know occasionally law enforcement officers will check on a Victim of DV to see how they are doing. But I grew up in a rural area where there weren't Private Investigators. I understand the goal of a PI but in case like this one, I'm assuming he was hired by her attorney. So would he have spoken more to her attorneys or would he have spoken with her and her attorneys? Wouldn't she have provided these "alternative theories" to the PI or does a PI normally have initial questions they would ask to give them areas to explore? Have you or any other Private Investigator checked in on clients after a case? If it has happened did it depend on the type of case? Idk I just feel it's a weird dynamic they have now.. Almost like he wants to take on the father/protector role of Casey now. I'm just asking questions to clarify it for myself. I know some officers will keep in touch with a DV Victim to see how they are doing after filing a report. Sometimes they will check in on someone who they have been called out to their house several times - even if they didn't file a report. So I was just curious if Private Investigators ever do the same?

As weird as that may sound, I am sure a lot of parents do that, and I think it has something to do with very primitive protective instincts (I could identify my child among many in the dark, by his smell). As a mother, I think the father meant when he spoke about the smell of her sweet sweat, he was talking about her baby scent. It’s a certain thing only parents would understand. For instance I loved the smell of my son when he was a baby, a toddler, it calmed me and it’s because of our connection being flesh and blood, and him being my child, I miss his baby scent. He’s 5 now and sometimes he still cuddles with me at night time and I fall asleep cuddling him, because he’s my boy and it’s a comfort. And then an hour or so later I wake up and go to my room, but i think that’s what her father meant when speaking about Caylee, just I think he was trying to be poetic about it.

It’s upsetting, but I understand why. There cannot be a reasonable doubt. We don’t know what happened exactly, how she died, when she died, who knew, who placed her there at the swamp. If it cannot be proved beyond any reasonable doubt the she did kill Caylee alone, herself, the instruction to the jury is that they cannot convict. The state did not have enough information, they did not do a thorough investigation, and because everything was based on suspicion and logic, not actual evidence, she was let off. Trust me, the jury knows she very probably did it, but very probably without evidence is not death penalty material.
@Thedarkbunnyrabbit
@Thedarkbunnyrabbit Жыл бұрын
@@alexys72904 People fail to get this with court cases often. A jury has to be not just sure but certain of their decision. Especially with murder and the death penalty, it has to be unanimous as well. Is it likely Casey is at least involved in her daughter's death? Sure. Is it certain beyond a reasonable doubt that she intentionally murdered her daughter and then covered it up? Not at all. Court is exactly where such a distinction matters.

@@Tixchix This is an issue with greedy convictions. It reminds me of the case of Chauvin. All the lawyers observing the case said that trying to get him for 1st degree murder was a dead case, and that's why there was a brief panic when it seemed prosecution would push for that. Sometimes you gotta know what your evidence is going to support. Manslaughter would definitely have worked since the end decision was 'she accidentally drowned due to negligence', but the prosecution tried to go for 'she drowned the child on purpose' and there just wasn't sufficient evidence for that.

I am so glad that you guys touched on how invested a liar can be in their lie, to the point the emotions behind it are real. I'm thinking part of this stems from narcissistic traits but a lot of the genuineness of that emotion is from a place of self pity and thinking how dare they not believe me. I'm sure she is genuinely hurt that her parents, in her mind, put her daughter first. It's almost like they go into survival mode and for her, lying is certainly a life or death situation. We are programmed to survive. Morals fall away. I think this is why she (and many others) can lie so authentically. For most of Kaylee’s life Casey lied to her parents saying she had a job and a nanny for Kaylee. For the 30 days after Kaylee’s death she told her parents Kaylee was with her, doing fine but not available to see or talk to them. Furthermore, all of her friends reported that she was in good spirits and acting totally normally while she participated in the hot body contest, slept over at her boyfriend’s, and got a new tattoo. When her mother tracked finally her down she lied to her family and the police saying Zanny the Nanny kidnapped Kaylee. Including all sorts or ridiculous details l, including multiple addresses, Zanny’s family members, down to the floral fabric on the car seat Zanny supposedly used for Kaylee. She even claimed to have spoken to Kaylee on the phone a short time before. At trial she told the story that Kaylee accidentally drown in the pool, and her father disposed of the body in the most bizarre and illogical manner. First letting her decompose in Casey’s trunk, before wrapping her in a bunch of items from the house, putting duct tape over her mouth, and dumping her in a field 1/4 mile down the road. Now she’s saying her father SA’d her for years, smothered her multiple times as a child, killed Kaylee, staged a drowning, googled how to suffocate someone, then staged a murder in the way he disposed of her body. That’s a lot of different narratives to keep track of…

Then again, she’s not saying her dad is a murderer… I think she said? 🫠🙄 Thanks so much for the reply! You’re a gem! Ooohhh.. Does anyone remember that early in the investigation, C's mom was furious and absolutely sure she did something to her grandaughter--but then when she realized how much trouble her daughter could be in, started to change her story, to protrct her? I also remember a cop show from years ago where the husband and wife accused each other of a crime, to point jury couldn's determine "without a doubt' which one did it, and in final scene, it showed the both did it together, and hot away with it. I think this might have been the family's conscious strategy to keep them her out of prison.

Ok one glaring contradiction that you didn’t see in your clips- is that- in one of these episodes of the documentary- she claims she NEVER told her legal team exactly what happened that day when Caylee “disappeared”. Yet- in his opening statement- Jose Baez said that George was holding Caylee wet and heavy from the pool- screaming “look at what you did! This is your fault- your mother will never forgive you.” Which is the EXACT story she tells that happened that day during this documentary- almost word for word. Although Jose said Caylee drown in the pool and she is now saying that never happened. But my point is- if she never told her legal team that story- how did Jose come up with that story word for word what actually happened? Ughhhhh she is such a liar/contradictor!!! It gets me so upset. I cry every time I think of what she did to Caylee. I want to think it was an accident- but the duct tape over the baby’s mouth, and the “fool proof suffocation” search tells me otherwise. I’m a mom- and I cannot imagine how she could do that to such a sweet little doll face!!! Love you Spidey & Dr. Das you are amazing! Great team! Great videos!!! ❤❤ ❤❤

Case Anthony just confessed to her crime in this Doco. Take out George Anthony’s name and she’s told you what happened. If you want to convince everyone the real way Caylee died, tell the truth, but put yourself in the 3rd person and blame someone else for your actions. Casey suffocated Caylee with a pillow. Put her in the pool to make it look like an accident. Held her and cried. Heard her mother in her head blaming her and saying she’ll never forgive her and she’ll go to jail for neglect. So she changed her mind about telling everyone she drowned in the pool. Then she took her away and disposed of her body.

I think maybe she's telling the truth about her brother mostly because she'd mentioned that to somebody before this all happened. But I think she is using other trauma, or sadness for herself to evoke these emotions. Maybe I'm just being biased but it's so hard for me to feel like she's being truthful about that.
@fallen0angel

I think (for me at least) it's the classic 'well if she's lied about everything else, why should we believe this?'. It's also weird to me how she was so firm and insistent in 'no, my brother never raped me. absolutely not. no. never.' with a tone that it's an absurd thought, but then goes on to say that he may as well have, in a really odd shift in tone, that almost implies 'well, what's the difference'. I would think those emotions would either be consistent with 'yeah, he touched me inappropriately, but that was it,' or 'technically no, but it was so traumatic and painful, and I felt so scared and betrayed by someone loved, why does it matter what the exact definition is?'. Trauma and healing is absolutely complex, so maybe she does flip-flop about how she feels and thinks about it, but I'm with you in finding her only sad for herself, and very hard to believe.

Talking again from a mom perspective… I found out two years prior to having my first child that my father in law had allegedly abused my sister in law. Since finding that out I was paranoid about him, and that went through the roof after having my son when mama goose and mama bear instincts really started kicking in. And after finding out I was going to have a daughter, I’m even more on edge, though we burned that bridge with my husband’s father. I have vowed to never let him see my children. So… I find it hard to understand why Casey still allowed her father to be near Caylee. That part doesn’t compute, and also, the images of her out partying. If I were Casey Anthony I wouldn’t allow anyone else to care for my child unless I absolutely had to. Or I should say, I don’t let other people watch my children unless I absolutely have to. And even then I looked for the soonest available nightshift so that they would never have to be with anyone else other than myself or their dad and grandma. But Casey didn’t have those trust issues to begin with…. I know you try to say that we should never not believe when someone claims abuse, but when certain behaviors contradict what she claims, it’s a little hard to be on board. I’m sorry.

We can competently take the "we all had everyone's passwords" off the table. That is a LIE!! During her prison video calls Casey is giving her brother Lee all her passwords, including her MySpace password. She also gives her Mom Cindy her passwords, even spelling them for both of them. WHY is she giving them and spelling her passwords to her family if they all already knew each others passwords? It's just another lie that Casey tells. Try again Casey.
@rjeplife
@rjeplife Жыл бұрын
The prison videos are more than 1 month after the google search / myspace activity. Also, the willingness to share passwords (even there's an implication of expectation that they would amongst each other) shows that it was common in their family to share passwords. The fact that she needed to "give them passwords" doesn't mean "they already knew" was false. It's very easy to imagine a scenario where the passwords changed between the day the searches were made and the day she discussed passwords from prison prompting them to ask her to share. Also, even in the prison video where she knows she's being recorded and the videos can reach the public (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYbLnIBqhs9mmq8) she gives her (very simple, low-security) password. So, sorry -- this just sounds like a petty objection to her narrative. There's a lot of scenarios where she's 1) truthful that they knew her password and 2) she still needed to share her passwords with them from prison.

I know we are to refrain from passing judgement as anything could have happened behind closed doors, but when she started crying about what her dad said at the funeral, I almost lost it. Her responses that can be heard all start with "I" and revolve around her sadness of where she was and what she had to go through, not about her daughter no longer being here. I firmly believe that many of her emotional breakdowns and crying whether it was when the trial was happening or now is a direct result of her situation and being caught in misleading information that she had spun for the public and how she looked to everyone in the world rather than where the focus should have been on, which is the poor innocent little girl that had a mother who didn't want the mommy life, but rather the single party life she portrayed in her 30 days of care-free living.

It’s hard to talk to someone who’s reality is so warped that they have no sense of what’s real and what’s not. Babies literally emit a certain smell that makes adults feel closer to them. It's evolutionary adaptation that makes adults feel a dedication to take care of them. Surprisingly, humans are not considered to have natural maternal/paternal instincts, so it's a necessary physiological survival mechanism. For sure, creeps who prey on children exist, but non-creep adults will notice and appreciate that near-indescribable scent, too.

Honestly that part about the sweet sweat comment was soooo staged it felt incredibly deceptive. Obviously Casey has watched the funeral footage, I simply don't believe she never watched it. Also, with the piano and emotion the comment seems creepier than it actually was. I watched the full tape without the framing and it's not that weird. It's obviously a clumsy poetic illustration. He was talking about Caylee getting him to play with her even when he was tired and playing outside and then he said "the smell of her sweet sweat when she came in from outside" which sounds like poetic description albeit awkward. Also, he said that a hug from a child gives him energy which Casey flipped out about that he was admitting he was a pedophile. If you watch the whole tape, he was talking about her getting him to play even when he was tired so it wasn't weird.

I think they smell how they do, and the positive associations are because they’re babies and we like them. But if you need science to justify liking babies, go for it I guess. Seems like common human decency to me.
