Rock 'n Roll is not confined to Elvis, Bill Haley etc. Over the years it has evolved into a broader spectrum. Even Hard Rock and Heavy Metal is defined as rock' n'' roll and that's a long way from being the rock 'n'' roll of the fifties and early sixties.

Fantastic Liverpool band. Second best only to The Beatles! I just love seeing them diddley-dancing somewhat like the bobble-head puppets from the hit series from that era, Thunderbirds. It's so much of the times.

I don't know man...there was a time in the Merseybeat era when the Beatles and Gerry & the Pacemakers were neck-and-neck for popularity. Of course, with the benefit of hindsight, we now know the Beatles were in a league of their own and incomparable to anyone else. But those Merseybeat days must have been absolutely magic 😀

@@Orangemga1600 Well, I gave it a 10th and 11th look! :-) I still didn't see one! I believe those Rivoli basses had the output jack on the top of the instrument and it would have been clearly visible, as the two guitars are. No biggie! Glad to have this classic piece of rock and roll history!

Always good. Have their greatest hits on cassette. Very good Sound quality on the cassette. CDs lose the echo for some reason. Digital signature I guess. Vynil and Cassettes don't.

Lip Sync has improved these days - In fairness this is a promo: Not an actual recording session (no sound baffles and the Ficord 4 track is the wrong model), the mixing panel we used then at the EMI studios was a basic 32 channel - From my actual memory! The Searchers were a bloody great band and their songs continue to please subsequent generations. More than said for the doof doof rubbish abounding at the moment.

I do too. The 60s was undoubtedly the best music era. I sing 60s songs and a few 50s, and some from the 70s. Also recorded a "duet" with the "guys" !! I also sing musical theatre and even some light opera! So I have a wide range of genres, but I simply adored the 60s. I have all the Searchers videos in my folder now. Shame they split, but hey ho, that's life. I won't fall out with them over it!
