This has greatly helped me feel loads better since started only just last week!! I wondered though, do you also lift weights and do this cor cardio? And what if you only have a chair, how do you sink into things as you do with a barre?

Yay, Meghan!! So happy you started working out with us and are already feeling happier and healthier!!! So these 20-ish minute barre series videos are for people only looking for the barre series portions of our workouts. In our studio classes, we begin class with a full warmup WITH weights, which targets the entire body, moving into more arm work, plank-work and abdominals, then we move onto the barre section of class. The entire workout is designed to be cardio intensive: It functions similarly to a H.I.I.T. workout, with cardio "bursts" throughout, (where your heart rate will go up and down throughout class), which is highly effective for fat loss. This format, combined with the strengthening and toning of the isometric pulses (this serves as your active recovery after a cardio burst) will sculpt your entire body. If you're only using a chair, we recommend hinging at the hips, with your heels elevated, and keeping a flat back as you "sit back" into an imaginary chair, and then squeeze the glutes as you lift to rise. Keep the movement as big or small as you like - do what feels right for your body. I've recently moved so far south into the BFE that there are 0 barre classes or anything for that matter, so this was a wonderful find via the suggestion of my sister in law. I definitely plan to keep working on it! Even if it is only 20 minute classes, I think it's still doing something haha can't sweat that much and be doing nothing!

Great workout and I like the length of this workout as well! I'd like to see more around this duration or 30 minutes. The only suggestion is turn down the music which almost drowned you out Paige!
