It was a wedding reception that got so out of hand that police were called. Before it was all over, one officer was unconscious, and the uncle of the bride was shot dead. Though the incident happened in February, police bodycam footage of the Orlando, Florida, melee has just been released. Lawyers for the grieving family of Daniel Knight said “The only thing the video establishes is that Daniel Knight did not deserve to die.”

How do you think thousands of bouncers and security door people deal with this every single day around the world. Can you imagine a bouncer shooting a drunk patron 7 times? If untrained bouncers can manage those situations, why would police who get special training not be able to do the same or even better de-escalation. This is murder

@@Niaaal Bouncers do not always end up managing those situations. Hell, just a month ago or so, I watched a yt vid of a bouncer that couldn't manage a situation and ended up getting killed. Bouncers get viciously attacked more often than you'd think. Now think about this... If a bouncer was armed with a firearm and was being overtaken by physical force, then the right to defend yourself with said firearm is justified because now you not only have to protect yourself from an attacker who can go after your gun but who if does get control of it can kill not only you but others whether intentionally or not.

Watch the bodycam footage it’ll make your blood boil. When the officers arrive on scene, they try to talk to the guy to calm him down but all the guests try to get involved and talking over the cop. Sister gets between the police and the dude and keeps escalating the situation and the officer tries to move her out of the way causing the guy to rampage at the cops. Literally everyone at the wedding (especially the sister) made the entire situation worse, leading to the shooting. Sister also assaults the officer as well. Watch interview with family too. The mother (who he allegedly assaulted) lies about the assault and is visibly drunk in the interview. Sister is preaching to the media about how innocent her bro was despite literally inciting him to knockout a cop. Whole family full of dysfunctional psychos. I’ve been around lots of families like that my whole life, types of people that create chaos wherever they go. Tragedy but was bound to happen. If you know people like these, definitely stay away. So don’t give this man one. His death was absolutely justifiable. Yet again, I did not pray upon this man’s death. Treat others how you wanna be treated and drink responsibly. He punched a cop. That doesn't mean he deserves to die. 7 shots were fired. That's EXCESSIVE. Cops should be trained when the appropriate time to use their gun. Clearly he was unarmed. If a cop can't use force that doesn't involve their gun when the other person doesn't have a weapon than they shouldn't be a cop.

I agree 110% Joe, there should be zero tolerance for violence against innocent people, especially from big men like him against small elderly woman, that's attempted murder in my eyes for any man to even hit an elderly person a single time let alone a small elderly woman, that guy deserved to be put down the moment he did that and hes lucky he made it long enough to see the officers without someone else defending themselves or family with lethal force. Violence towards innocent people needs to be met with twice the violence in return to the perpetrators and if the person is clearly unable to feel remorse like any guy who would attack an elderly woman he cant be allowed to live around innocent people.

I agree 100% that he didn't deserve to die, but unfortunately his actions caused him to die. I truly feel bad for the family, it really sucks to have such a special day ruined. But that guy seemed to be getting the best of the police, and since their taser didn't work he pretty much left them no choice. Sure, they may have been able to get the upper hand, and even if they didn't there's a highly probable chance that the guy would've just beaten them up and wouldn't take one of their guns to use against them. But they can't take that chance. Because cops have more than one job to do, one of which is to go home to their families.
