While we do not know the complete facts of the case, we do know the truth shall prevail,” she said. His aunt, Dionne Chang said it’s possible that the unmarked cars the officers were in could have led to a misunderstanding. “He would not intentionally harm or hurt anyone but he would protect himself if he thought he was in danger,” Chang said. I'm pretty sure the officer that was driving shot his own window when he removed his second support hand from his Glock to radio in "shots fired". As a guy that's been in combat before, shooting downrange with just one hand means you lose control of your weapon and cannot reaquire your target after each shot taken. I understand it's a highly stressful situation and he's calling for backup while under fire and I'm sure warfighting is different than police training but in the military, you're taught to "win the fight" first before doing anything else. The female cop was as cool as the other side of the pillow.
@RookTalks2 жыл бұрын
Man I'm so glad someone else pointed that out, I've seen so many of these shootings and I'm not sure if it's a training issue or what. I've personally never served or been in Law Enforcement but you win the fight first, then communicate second. Telling people that you are shooting someone that is shooting at you isn't going to do you a lick of good in that moment because they cannot help. Especially in this moment where his backstop isn't clear and appears to be some sort of residential neighborhood.
@nickocleary27012 жыл бұрын
The window was already shot numbnutz. Watch the video again.
@gatsbylight47662 жыл бұрын
To offer an alternate opinion, the officer was firing his weapon 2-handed *until* he saw the shooter get back into his vehicle. At that point the officer took his second hand off of his gun to radio in the shooter's escape. At the point that the shooter stopped shooting and began to flee, the officer's priority stopped being 'win the fight' (since there was no longer a fight in progress), and the priority became 'catch a fleeing armed and dangerous shooter'. And the way to catch a fleeing shooter is to radio in his location so that other patrol cars can widen the net *AND* then the second priority was to still continue firing at the shooter.
@RookTalks2 жыл бұрын
@@gatsbylight4766 Honestly your alternative opinion should just be standard training. To many videos of these guys/gals just shooting one handed and worrying about the radio with the other.
@clshep2 жыл бұрын
@@gatsbylight4766 I see what you're saying. Because he was no longer in a firefight his duty was to notify other units to stop the guy from fleeing. It's a valid argument. Being that this all went down in a residential area, I would think accuracy would be a more urgent issue especially when he's mag dumping as he did.

Because they're constantly told that committing these violent crimes against police, "is not their fault". They can shoot an officer unprovoked, and somehow still be the victim of the crime they committed.

Florida window tint laws restrict windshield tint to top AS-1 line. ->>> Front side windows may have 28% VLT, back side windows 15% VLT, and rear window 15% VLT. On multi-purpose vehicles, back side windows and rear window can have 6% visible light transmission.

Honestly these two officers just experienced a life or death situation. Such a situation will never get normal for them as one dies once. You can train them how to tackle such crazy, absurd, and lethal confrontations with good delivery as presented, what you can never train them is how to effectively handle the reoccurring thoughts when they are on their own. Such accumulating high level of stress (due to the nature of the job in a "shall not infringed" society) might/will lead to errors in judgement with terrible consequences in professional life and mental crisis in personal life.
@steveb61032 жыл бұрын
What does the Constitution have to do with this? If your using your 2nd Amendment rights then it's up to you to get the training! Part of witch is how to handle getting pulled over. But the first training is gun safety!
