Sort of. The aliens in question made stealth ships that look like our planes in order to hide among us. Except they also wiped out the future humans, so why they'd hide, I DON'T know(The movie starts out with a transforming fighter jet. In a cave.) Also they're passengers, they're retrieving their kid who crashed on earth... somehow... And the girl in the shot is a time traveler from the future trying to prevent the destruction of the human race, which turns out was caused by humans killing the alien baby who crash landed on earth. Also the other guy can matrix-dodge. It's a weird movie.

I just picked up the Returner DVD for $3.00 at Big Lots Store, discount store. It's really quite good. Definitely a "Terminator" clone, story-wise, but it has enough twists to keep it interesting. Worth picking up, in a bargain bin, or as a Netflick rental.

There was also a scene with a transforming Super Stallion Helicopter. Posing as a friendly helicopter, it infiltrates the human base and wipes out everyone - The same scene was ripped off by the transformers movie later. Returner was an awsome and ahead of it's time movie.

Very stately and impressive transformation. One thing about the Japanese - they know that if you are going to get into advanced tech, do it with STYLE! 747's don't hover, but disguised alien vehicles running turbo shaft generators to power antigrav eqpt definitely do. Not interstellar-ready, but thats the job of a mothership, in cloaked orbit, with warp drive.
