Me neither, the only one which was a little confusing for a bit was in transformers 2007 when jazz and ratchet down brawl and saw his arm off, then they show him fall again from a different view, and 2 mins later he is up fighting again. But after watching again it's 2 angles of him falling and then when he is standing again his arm is missing so i guess they though he was dead or figured he would have given up with 1 arm lol.

As a film/animation major, I can answer in a technical sense. Like someone said, it’s because of the overuse of explosions and parts going everywhere. The general brain cannot process this and hold this information on the first watch. You know the saying “to eat an elephant, you just need you eat it bite by bite” (or something like that lol)? How Bay presents his fights, while arguably realistic, makes it near impossible to eat this metaphorical elephant bite by bite and instead shoves the elephant down your throat. This could easily be fixed with a more focused fight with less explosions. The ending of Bumblebee, for example, or the fight between Bee and the drill (forgot his name :( )

Cherographed fights need pauses or breaks after a sequence to allow the audience to capture and soak in the moment(Think of the cool poses, close ups on faces, and duel circling). That and how mostly the limbs of the bots are colored, leaving their mid sections in dull colors, makes it herder to picture their movements since our eyes are attracted to bright things. Added with the fact that these scenes are fast paced, are filmed in various angles, and have complex choreography(The various flips and grappling), then we have a confusing Fight scene for average viewers.

A bold take. And I have to say I agree. Sam *was* the main character. To just remove him and then say he was killed in some throwaway line in the 5th movie was some bullshit. Shia LaBeouf and his character deserved waybetter than they got. Also they shouldn't have changed his love interest between 2 and 3. It felt so off for them to say she dumped him after all the crap they went through (especially in Revenge of the Fallen) and how much they loved each other. It made no sense... and it was just because Megan Fox called out Bay for the bullshit way he was treating her and that damaged his seemingly fragile ego.

Am I like the only person who actually liked Skids and Mudflap? I thought they added the right amount of levity to the seriousness. Also, I really wish the movies stayed like this. Not the way it went with humans forgetting all the good the Autobots did and treating them worse than the Decepticons. Just them working together in joint task force stuff like in this without all the human bullshit 'wahh the Decepticons destroyed an entire city, so lets take it out on the Autobots and kill them all!' shit that the fouth movie brought along. I feel like they forgot what made these movies good in the first place. I dunno. I'm just bitter over a lot of the decisions they made in 3 onwards.🤷

Yeah i liked the twins. I'm also bitter about aoe and tlk. Aoe is better than i thought when i first watched it but that is when the movies stopped being as good, less memorable characters, silly designs (aoe bee didn't even look like a car, none of them did), tlk bought back good designs for some characters but yeah, i miss the first 3 movies.

From having a massive chunk of the original cast of Autobots killed off screen, to the overly brutal death of Ratchet, one of the original originals, I feel like they did every one of those characters and the movies that came before a massive disservice. That, and they teased the dinobots, which I was really really hype for, and you barely see them do anything outside of Grimlock vs. Optimus.

I read that Bay wanted to stop at dotm but they kinda forced to to make aoe and tlk, so maybe that is why they were worse, could be wrong about that though. Ratchet was one of my favourites and seeing him and leadfoot killed hurt.
