Very interesting video.. Kinda scary how you mention hitting the mountain so casual.. I guess if you fly everyday you kinda get use to the idea of crashing.. Very cool pre trip

+Shiny Knife thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. The hitting the mountain part was supposed to be funny not scary. haha

Great! How much potable water is in the tanks?
@BigIronTV9 жыл бұрын
+Boeing T7 Thanks. We will empty two of those potable trucks. Our capacity is around 800 US gallons.

@BIGIRONTV Have you had any dealing with damage to R1 doors on a 777-200? I ask in regards to the R1 door panel that was recovered from Flight Mh370 and the possibility of Explosive decompression in that area.

I have not encountered it.

Why this plane is stored? Looks amazing and well maintained.

Back in 2017, they touched the runway with the wing and horizontal stabilizer in France. I'm assuming that has something to do with it.

Very interesting! On minute 5, the FBW logic of the elevator/stabilizer is interesting. On the 777 in Normal Law and in flight, trimming or pulling/pushing on the control column will first move the elevators and then will reposition the stabilizer to "streamline" the elevator. That's to retain full elevator authority and reduce drag from the horizontal tailplane.

+jibeneyto Thank you.

Welcome! There's a 777 FBW analysis in my channel, if you'd like you could have a look :) I love your videos by the way!

When do pilots have time to do this? Whenever I fly the flight crew boards the plane a few minutes before everyone else and they don't leave the cockpit except to help with the cabin.
@BigIronTV4 жыл бұрын
You are right. The pilots do not do it. It is the mechanic that does it and then declares the aircraft safe to fly. I am the flight mechanic so that is why I am doing it. At an airline a senior mechanic would do it and sign it off for flight.
