yes i flew with them from luton to zakinthos in greece they were ok on board but we were delayed 9hrs out bound and 7hrs in bound but he in bound flight wernt there fault it was the day of the liquid bombs on trans-atlantic flights so all the security in u.k went crazy LOL :)

I had the same flight and i must say its the best what you can get, nice people, dellicius food and not to mantion the resort or islands I had never saw such a beautiful place like the maldives, its realy breath taking. very clean and the waters its just amazing cant tell it in words. So May god proteced the maldives from the tsunami and fading away of the sea level, so we can enjoy this peace of the world with the most homble people i ever met. Once again may Allah take all of you malivians.

yeah the runways is really long, and even if it were short pilots can manage to take off by holding the breaks while applying full power to the engines, once the engines are at full power the pilots will release the breaks and the plane will go faster, then the flaps will be applied slowly. thats a short runway take off.

maldives was gr8! I was supposed 2 only be there for 12 days arrivin back on april 19, but because of the volcanic ash, i arrived back this mornin @ 2am. check out mi channel 4 mi vid's of lgw-mle, mle-lgw and seaplane transfers!

You're right! But it's an Antonov 124 (I think -100 series) with Antonov Airlines (Formerly Antonov Design Bureau) Well spotted might I add. You were referring to the AN-225, the worlds largest cargo plane (and plane if you will; it's huge!)

I believe SriLankan used to fly direct to Malé and return via Colombo, not sure if this is still done. Qatar Airways also change in Doha en route to Malé.
