Boeing 787 Hydaulic System Explained + Return Filter Replacement

What pushes the piston or pressure side upward? From low pressure side to high pressure side.

If you look at the schematic (1:38), the higher pressure hydraulic fluid pushes the small piston down (or to the right in this case). If you look closely, you see a small line from the RH side of the small piston to the reservoir. This is to equalize the reservoir level with the required head pressure. Hope this clears it up for you ;-)

Great video! two questions. so is the purple liquid typical hydraulic fluid of 787 or something else? The second, any more videos for Explained Series, such as electrical, fuel, pressurization, air conditioning and so on?

What is the cangeout interval on the hydraulic elements? Is it the same for pressure, case drain and return?
