Astonishing that the plane can take off with all that weight on it :)

Hey Gary, what Air Carrier is this? Just curious, I tracked your video down all the way from Instagram haha

Hi Tommy, this aircraft belongs to Etihad Airways out of Abu-Dhabi.

I’ve never seen PMC’s stacked that high before, let alone most of the fright on the plane loaded like that!

Main deck PMC's for 777F can be built upto 118 inches for 48 inches of PMC !

Great video. What was the cargo?
@garybruce72904 жыл бұрын
Thanks for viewing. It's various general cargo, with pallets of Hazardous freight (segregated according to regs), oil equipment, vehicles, aero engines etc etc, anything that will fit
@viper1002905 жыл бұрын
Damn, if this was a Fedex load crew there would have been 2 audit fails in the 1st 10 seconds of this video lol. Interesting to see how other airlines do loads though.

Who packs all that stuff up on the pallets and wraps it? That seems like it would be a big job.
@garybruce72902 жыл бұрын
Hi Joe - A skilled team of warehousemen build the pallets. The skill comes from being able to match the interior profile of the aircraft remotely from the warehouse. That way there are no issues when the pallet is then transferred into the aircraft. The 'wrapping' is two-fold, A net which is capable of containing the load upto 9G acceleration and the clear wrapping just for wet weather protection.

Who makes the CLS for the 777?
@garybruce72902 жыл бұрын
A question for Boeing perhaps
@lukethompson5558 Жыл бұрын
Why were some of the pallets so short? Surely they could have thrown some light cargo on top?
@garybruce7290 Жыл бұрын
Luke - various parameters are taken into account. The inside profile of the structure is just one. The short pallets will have had very dense cargo on it and therefore the Max Pallet weight is considered as well as the maximum load capability of the Bay it is planned to be loaded in which also leads on to maximum cumulative load parameters. Also the effect of both the Main Deck and the Holds below the MainDeck is considered in all Load Planning. Cheers

How many pallets does it fit?
@garybruce72905 жыл бұрын
This aircraft has many Pallet configurations but, generally using 88"x 125" and 96"x 125" pallets it takes 27 on the MainDeck and 10 in the Lower plus 2 baggage containers.
@garybruce72905 жыл бұрын
Hi 27 MainDeck and 10 Lower Deck
@flashfocusbruh51442 ай бұрын
So then what’s on the underside of the cargo planes?
@garybruce72902 ай бұрын
As it is on passenger aircraft, the lower Holds on a Freighter will be filled with cargo instead of passenger suitcases.
@joe37675 жыл бұрын
call me dumb but i didnt know how these planes loaded until now i thought they moved the nose like the 747
@viper1002905 жыл бұрын
No, only through the MCD in the aft as this shows, 747 is only able to do the nose trick because the flight deck is on the 2nd topside level. 777 has only one topside level.
