Boeing F-15I Ra'am IDF/AF 69 "Hammers" Squadron, Israel, Hobby Master 1:72 Diecast Model HA4502

In 1998 the IDF began to receive their McDonnell Douglas F-15I Ra’am (Thunder) with the intent to have them operationally ready by late 1998 but because of rising tension in the Persian Gulf. The first F-15I was ready by June 1998, well ahead of original plans. In 1999 three Israeli pilots took part in Red Flag at Nellis AFB using aircraft supplied directly from McDonnell Douglas and carried USAF serials. When the operation was over the aircraft were flown back to Israel by the same pilots. Aircraft with Israeli tail number 269 arrived in Israel on May 27, 1999 and assigned to the 69th Squadron "Ha'patishim" (Hammers).
Today's example is from Hobby Master. It is 1:72nd scale and made of diecast with plastic accessories. The model is of the Boeing F-15I Ra'am IDF/AF 69th (Hammers) Sqn, #269, Hatzerim AB, Israel, 2009

Despite the fact that the HM F-15 has some very large inconsistencies with the original, this model looks stunning. I had the opportunity to buy this F-15I for 50 eur, without the box. But I was late, and now I regret it...

It does look really nice, hopefully you will manage to find one for your collection. I miss out on auctions all the time,haha. I like to not bid until its nearly over but then I get distracted by visitors or other things and by the time I remember the auction as finished and the model sells cheap!!😭

Oh badass for sure, the Eagles look even more tougher in this desert scheme. Beats the hell out of grey 🤣. I'm sure I have a USAF one in green somewhere, which will look awesome 😀. Thanks again for checking out the video and commenting 😀👍

Very nice! I love a fully kitted Eagle! Interesting that it has the conformal fuel tanks. I can’t remember if I’ve seen those on other F-15 models.

This version being unique for the Israeli Airforce may have been a requirement, I think they have similar modifications on their F-16's too. Thanks for checking out the video!!!

Yes I need to do one of my F-14's, actually I'm pretty sure they retain there ordnance because there ordnance set up is in two rows under the belly of a tomcat not a central row but I could be wrong, its been awhile,haha.....but we do have a Prowler coming up which will give you 3 for 3,haha

I have a large number of WW2 Easy models that I need to open up for reviews, I cant recall if there's a Stuka in there, there's a lot of 109's and 190's though,haha

I don't know how old this particular model is but I have found with some of the very recent releases from HM they are getting some of the dreaded fitment issues. A couple of days back I received a Chinese Shenyang J 11 that I ordered, and don't get me wrong, the model is great and to the usual HM standard, however there was one particular type of missile which just would not fit. The model came with six of them and not one of them would sit in the slots between the intakes and under the intakes, (where the instructions said to put them), so I had to fit them all with blue tack. I found it very weird that none of them would fit whatsoever, but it may be just bad luck from the diecast gods! 😂

That's just standard on Chinese aircraft 😉🤣 . But all jokes aside sometimes I have found the same things. I had an HM A-10 that went together perfectly, bought another HM A-10 and it had ordnance fitment issues, and it was even the same load for both models. The diecast gods can be cruel. I'm now at the point if it doesn't go on nice I don't force them. I must say I haven't had any that were loose, more so not fitting into their slots and need trimming and sanding. I save my blu tack for my JC Wings/Witty Wings models,haha. On the plus side at least you got instructions 🤣 half the time I don't get any in my HM boxes 🤣. Apparently if you sacrifice an Airfix or Revell model kit that makes them happy 🤣
