If we look at just the 2022 Farnborough Airshow alone (without counting the nearly 300 plane orders that Airbus received from airlines in China during the start of July), we can say that Boeing is a pretty big winner. But overall in the aviation’s industry, Boeing and Airbus are both big winners.

The Post-Farnborough order numbers are good news for Boeing. I think deliveries were equally important with 51 commercial jets in June 2022, It will be interesting to see how it all shakes out after Boeing has the MAX-10 and 777-9 certified.
@sjvillar27962 жыл бұрын
On the surface, Boeing won the numbers game at Farnborough. But I think the numbers are all for-show and don’t reflect the reality - it’s not like some airline CEO will go to the show, kick some airplane tires and say “I’ll take 50 of those.” Negotiations and back-and-forth happen months before the air show, and then the deal is only announced at the air show. Some airlines might say that they don’t want the announcement to be made at the air show for this or that reason. It’s only a show… and there’ll be another air show in another country and another flurry of announcements and so on. I think the real measure is the end-of-year numbers and, most important, the order book.

787 Dreamliner in trouble, again. 737 MAX 10 lacking certification. Starliner a waste of NASA's (US Taxpayers') money. Complaining the new Air Force Ones are costing them too much - thank God it is a fixed price contract, because that would mean more money from US taxpayers. No answer for the mid-market - 757s will need to be replaced by A321 XLRs. I would say Boeing is still far far behind.
@JoePez2 жыл бұрын
@@LordVader5738 The 787’s Direct competitor the A350 isn’t so much in the clear either, I mean we all know how ‘great’ the paint jobs are on the A350’s 737 MAX 10 is lacking a certificate because it’s a brand new plane… like literally less then a year old some things can’t happen instantaneously And of corse building a presidential transport aircraft is going to be expensive. Don’t try to say “Oh Boeing’s the only one having financial troubles” because the A380 and A330NEO programs went over budget and the A330NEO never broke even so Airbus (so far) has lost money on the A330neo NASA and Boeing’s star liner program is actually a huge success considering Boeing is the first commercial aircraft manufacturer to build a literal rocket (I don’t see Airbus sending stuff into space) And considering Delta airlines just went with an order of all Boeing 737’s instead of the A321’s, I’d say they’re doing just fine
