Beasts being either nothing or everything is very reminiscent of the Slamma days. It's why I liked when self damage Beasts were good, they didn't only win or lose by miles and actually focused more on scaling over getting a popoff minion combo that insta-wins when you get it or loses you the game from gold waste when you don't.

yeah for sure. I feel like beasts are always going to be a problem with overall balance. When you design effects like Tethys, Golden Brann, etc into the game, having a linear scaling or piece-together board being competitive with that is an impossible challenge. Either beasts are easy to put together and strong early... and then they dominate the lower end of the leaderboard and are mid at top end. Or they are hard to put together (like now), and they aren't dominant but playable at lower end and are super niche at the top end. The compromise would be to remove all of the exponential scaling + infinite lines and make all tribes have similar power curves, but is that a fun idea? It's hard to see without a big minion makeover.

​@@bofurthey need to start design from scratch. Instead of trying to shoehorn cards into tribes, they need to identify archetypes first. Then they might be able to have menagerie comps be more viable as they have cards in each tribe for archetypes rather than shoehorning archetypes into specific tribes.

which turn? it's tough to say without knowing where it was. Most likely due to it not advancing relevant stats relative to our advantaged position. Reducing your resources to increase tempo when already ahead is a tough sell. edit: after parsing through, I'm guessing the one on turn 10? yeah, we're not using it from that point for more than 1 turn. So you're taking a 10/30 to 1-4 permanent minions at the opportunity cost of 3 extra gold. If you didn't get the 4g value from Jaraxxus as an alternative you could argue taking bat and keeping it for 1 turn. You have golden Brann after all. This isn't the time to settle for dozens of stats/turn, especially when ahead and likely to sell 2-4 of the existing demons. Over damage cap + golden brann generation is a win-con. We don't settle. The likelihood that we get to Urzul is so high that we don't sacrifice economy for dozens of stats. Urzul in an optimistic timing scales for more than 10 turns worth of bat value within 1 turn. Yeah this time it took a bit to get to it, but this was about as bad a roll as we've gotten from this spot. 90%+ of the time you're already rolling into 1-5 urzuls way before this.

I mean you have to appear on camera, talk about your decisions, try to be entertaining, thank subs I can understand that sometimes you want to lay back on your chair, not have to worry about your appearance, maybe push the mic out of the way and just chill

its very very different. I eat meals, watch TV, do dishes, take the dogs out, edit youtube videos... etc, etc, etc while playing sometimes. Imagine doing that while still being front-and-center on camera and discussing everything at the same time. I rarely play off stream without multitasking IRL heavily.
