Bogged and BROKEN on Australia's TOUGHEST tracks

We spent a week down in Tasmania tackling some of the toughest tracks in the country with @timmyhasheart This is the first of 3 episodes for the Tasmania series and in this episode we tackle the Bridport dunes where we suffer breakdowns, get bogged and have to perform recoveries. We also do some big hillclimbs before tackling the Lake Cumberland switchback.

What a Great episode, and only part one. How Versatile is the Barra 45. Three different setups depending on the trip. Canopy, dirt bike carrier, or camping with swags. Timmy is a great instructor and a 4wd car builder, and he also knows the best tracks in Tasmania.

You could have tried a plastic weld on the radiator to get out of trouble. Superglue and bi-carb or sand is perfect.

That cutout you guys went to in the beginning I dub pooey hill as a local I've seen that many td42s go down in that exact same spot. And also that hill climb on the main dune is great. Only Barras or ls/lsa can get up that.. haven't seen a factory setup get it yet.

Hahaha, petrol in sand and dunes... Every time. I used to be able to go up dunes in my 4.8 patrol on 2wd while Diesel 4x4s couldn't get up in 4x4 haha

Depends on how you drive it! 18L/100 at 110kph with a rooftop tent, off-road varies a fair bit depending on how it’s driven!

There is no road noise which is wild! I can barely believe it for such an aggressive set of mud terrains.
