Oxy is a genius, that water seeping out of the ground was perfect. I have been trying to play on riverbend springs, and experienced the rain for the first time. Wow, Giant did well with that. This was always a beautiful map, but now it is on another level.

Oxy is a genius when it comes to map making, Id of been happy just playing the original calmsden on 25 but the subtle changes & new things hes added like gates are just awesome, IMO best map maker. Oxy take a bow.

Great video again. Whenever I play Farm Sim I always think of my Grandpa. He wasn't a farmer but he used to help farmers with trimming trees and getting rid of the wood, in return he got to pick veg straight out the field. Always found logging difficult in FS but I'll try these mods now. Thanks again!

If he was we wouldnt get these maps, and the base maps wouldnt be better anyway. Base maps are not bad, Riverbend is a testament to that. That is FS25’s crown jewel of base maps. But base maps need all the features, all the productions, and they are not set in IRL environment, not really how Oxy is working his maps.

I did read that Giants approached Bulletbill to do one of his maps to be included in FS17…can’t remember the map but it was the one of his own farm IRL

Top tip for everyone struggling with reversing a dolly trailer: put it on the front of the tractor, you can correct a lot faster because the trailer is connected close to the front wheels 😄👌🏻

Delimbing distance fix: go into the data/handtools/stihl (or your preffered chainsaw, or change them all) xml file and find this line: maximumDelimbDiameter="1" and change it to maximumDelimbDiameter="4". Now you dont have to crouch and can point at the tree from further away.

this is how GiANT needs to do it after the rain deeper puddle depths on the field on the mud roads going to the fields should have that effect and I hope Oxy can do that on the fields also

Bog spot looks Great, ground deformation seems excessive for the dryer areas. I guess it's actually simmular in the base game also, I just didn't notice.

Dolly trailers are actually super simple, you just have to remember two things: Make small movements (driving and steering) and turn the direction you want the trailer to go.

Is owning the sawmill going to be a thing when you start off as new farmer? Personally don't think you should, but selling and removing the money should be fine if it is. Oxy is doing awesome with small details. Can't wait for this map to come out, shame it didn't come out on my holiday break though :(

Maybe you should consider a Lindner, JCB or Xerion when using a Dolly Trailer. They're easier to reverse with 4 wheel steering. I think that might be why Millennial Farmer has a hitch attachment for his skid steer, and uses that to park his header trailers!

reversing a dolly is lots easier if the trailer is connected to the front of the tractor. that is why all old tractors have a front pin hitch, for backing dolly trailers into sheds etc.

Logging in 25 is a mixed bag…deadwood is actually useful but the John Deere skidder is garbage compared to 22 Platinum. And the strap physics are weird now so you can use a lowloader to haul a whole tree.

See that there are a sort of gaps between the fences and the gate. Are the fences going to connect to the gate gate poles? The ground deformation looks very good, maby on that route some more, its a wet track. Is it possible to demolish ingame houses/sheds or will i needs to be done in giants? (Console player)

Ive been playing XBox all gens since 2012 and this game a long time and spend up to 10 hrs a day on it. ( I can because Im due for my 80th in Feb. But I still have all my marbles) If I like a map I can play it several times in many modes or areas according to its accommodating factors which in my mind is a salute to the maker. I always liked this map on 22 but was disappointed you couldn't remove the odd fence/wall/building. I am not a fan of immovable garbage. I hate that little wall that wraps round the old hay shed on the corner of the cow farm. It makes the whole area useless. I also wanted to open the hedge opposite the road junction to the cow barn and have a gate here so you could drive straight from the arable side up to the cow barn. I DO like the fact you can deliver stuff from the store direct to the farm. As for FS25 itself. Not happy with the menu system at all. FS22s was /is better. The vehicle and tool menu is too much like FS17 but Ill bear it. Icons on menu and map generally too small everywhere even with specs. Not overly impressed with the starter maps. Zelonka was a £16 expansion on 22 which is now free on 25. I consider that an insult to those that paid out for it. As I said elsewhere on the subject I think many of us jumped in too quickly for pre order discs. I was charged £56.89 for mine and I was gutted when I started going through it. No major feel good factors like I had with 19 and 22. The saving factor will be up coming maps. I have no interest in another tractor or building mod. I like my old Case PRO 306 hp and a couple of 150 hp Internationals to start but rarely go bigger than the 306hp Case who needs it? I think it is to do with my childhood family farming and forestry contracting background in the late 40s and the 50s. Anyway that's my slant on it. Peace and Gravy to all. Keep up the good work.
