This is the best demo of this amp I’ve heard. It sounds so good. The clean is so special to my ear. Great demo 👌

That was a great demo. Flowed through and effectively showed exactly what the amp is like and no un-needed chatter.

@@RickHollis You're welcome!! :) I own a 20th Shiva myself and on nearly all of the videos on KZbin you don't know if the switches are engaged or not. And it makes a huge difference if you do. The only thing I don't like about the Shiva ist the loop. There ist a significant volume drop when you use the pedal out. I own a Friedman 50 Deluxe too and this works flawless. Great song and great playing by the way. Keep up your great work.

Thanks again Jochen, my channel is still fairly new and to get that kind of feedback is encouraging. I’m a bit of a Friedman fan boy myself. Have you checked out my Smallbox demo?

This is cool. The gain sound sounds somewhere in between a Diezel and a Marshall...and the clean sound is amazing!

Rick Hollis nice! Another great thing about this amp is how well the clean channel takes distortion pedals. Running a good drive pedal through the clean channel can sound as good as the gain channels which is unheard of in most amps

FYI the EFX loop is a mix of tube and op-amp drivers. All the effects someone would be plugging into the loop are solid state so not like it matters.

What did you mean about turning the gain up on channel one? Mine only had volume, bass and treble on the clean.
@shivaskrivs26124 жыл бұрын
All that with the master volume barely cracked open. Ok for preamp gain if that’s what you like but the Shiva really sings when you drive the power tubes...turn it UP!

In hindsight, maybe I should have cranked it up and run it in to a load box and speaker ir's to get a feel for how the power section works when cranked. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Hey Rick, great demo of the Bogner Shiva 20th A.! Love your Kotzen Strat, have one too! (did you refinish it or is it a new made body?) One thing, you really should have demoed the boost sound in channel one, that's actually a third channel that gives you (you mentioned it) the plexi type sound. All the best, George
@RickHollis2 жыл бұрын
Hey George. My RK Strat turned a pukey yellow so I took the finish off and stained it the current colour. Point taken about the boost. I’ll include that next time I get my hands on that amp.

"good amp" ,...so far so good ,....but : How can I get spare parts for this type of amp ? What I need , is a new power transformer BP440 ( 230 V mains here ) I live in The Netherlands ,.....and NOBODY has spare parts here on the shelf for this amp . I can't even build in a universal transformer , because it needs a special dedicated type transformer for this amp. W.T.F. !!!!!!! 👺,.....and even no circuit schematics available ,....no nothing !!!!! 😖 What I consider for being a "good brand", is that brand for which spare parts are available !!! 👺
