Both killer amps. Just like the way the Uber sits better I think. More scooped, also more versatile I think between the different modes on it. Hell even the different “Uber” modes between the two channels are different.

Just got my grano 1.5 and love it. Almost got the Uber ultra. Both sound amazing here. Which do you prefer? 🤔

Grano definitely sounds tighter but how does the Uber feel or respond to your playing as compared to the Grano? And what about the in-the-room sound? Which do you feel sounds fuller? Trying to decide if I really want an Uber Ultra. Thanks, Chris

Feel wise you can’t get much tighter than the granophyre, the Uber ultra is still very tight and controlled but super full sounding! If you don’t like using boost pedals both are fantastic but if you do like using boost my only gripe with the Uber boosted it feels a little stiff

We're living in an age of spoils when it comes to high gain gear but IMO (most) Bogners just slay everything they get put up against in shootouts. They've got a throaty punch that becomes more evident when side by side with amps that otherwise hold their ground. I say this as someone who doesn't even currently own a Bogner (I will own one again soon). I'd love to see the Uber or XTC go up against a VHT/Fryette in a high gain battle.

I’ve got a deliverance stereo demo and an Uber stereo demo on my page. Fryettes are a lot less naturally scooped and probably the driest amps out there. They have that hiwatt thing going on like 300-1200 hz that I’ve only noticed with vht/Fryette and hiwatts. Wizards have it a little bit too, but it’s not as noticeable.

I’ll add that vht/fryettes are probably the hardest amps out there to play. They are not compressed like most high gain offerings and do not hide your playing in the slightest. Everything comes through.

@@Brandon-RZ I've played VHT's for 20 years. I had an Ultralead and 50CL and a currently have a Deliverance 60. Steve is bringing back the Ultralead and doing a Deliverance Plus very soon. I never owned a Bogner and VHT at the same time though. When I had a Bogner, I sold a VHT and vice versa. I think they'd make a great shootout.

Would be really intersted to hear you demo a Bogner Uber Twin Jet. People have been having a hard time getting these to do brootal stuff

Twin Jets are deadly, but the FX loop is absolutely useless. I ended up selling it for a Rev Blue and never regretted it.

I had both the uber ultra and the obsidian. The Omega had a really bland tone that was good but not really anything special. Bogner was cooler but it was very noisy and I preferred the old uber by quite a bit

You get the 1.5 update for the Obsidian? Sounds much better to me and on the Grano
