The song playing at the end is, "God Gave Rock and Roll to You II," by the legendary rock group KISS. The song appears on their album Revenge released in May of 1992.

Another fun fact: I think “Melvin” is a California term. The U.S. is a very big country and when I saw Bogus Journey in the Midwest nobody knew what they were referring to until Bill & Ted used a “Wedgie” - that’s what we called it -- on the Grim Reaper. Also, “Station” is a term invented only for the movie. Its an inside joke between the screenwriters. In the original Bill & Ted screenplay they had written “Int. Police Station” on their computer but the “POLICE” didn’t print on paper. During filming they would joke on set by saying “Int……. STATION!” Not many movies use jokes that only the crew would understand. 😂

Hello Vanessa, nice to see you crazy girl!😊 I am more a fan of the recent sequel in the trilogy, "Bill & Ted Face the Music" (2020). You should definitely check it out, too.😉 CGI burnout is definitely a thing. More and more people are gravitating towards older films that have practical effects. Maybe studios will start making films with them again, over CGI. Good for you, spotting the Star Trek TOS location!!!!👏👏👏👏 Great reactions to this fun Bill & Ted sequel, Vanessa!!!!🎬👏👏👏👏

Bill & Ted's Bodacious Trivia Extras Director Pete Hewitt was lucky getting the job due to his short film ' The Candy Shop ' his parents owed one while growing up in Brighton. Joss Ackland only made an appearance due to a bet. Bill & Ted Reaper challenge is a homage to Bergman Seventh Seal Frank Welker , most famous for Garfield & Transformers also voiced Satan During the Missy séance scene the incantation spelled backwards is Ed & Chris will rule the world , the only two guys there , creaters of Bill & Ted. Steve Vai plays Bill & Ted's ' final guitar solo ' song & all the air guitar riffs throughout the movie. The Group playing ' Tommy the cat'at the battle of the bands are Alt Rockers Primus , most famous for the south park theme. Faith no More guitarist Jim Martin shows up briefly as a lecturer. It's ironic that he departed the band a few years later. Blues musician Taj Mahal also plays the gatekeeper There's a spin off Comic series (12 issues) by celebrated cartoonist Evan Dorkin that continues right after Bogus journey with Bill & Ted chasing the grim reaper across time , coming across medieval versions of themselves , stopping John Wilkes booth ,dealing with jealous rivals over the princesses & meeting little Bill & Ted from the future. Thankyou for a most excellent reaction, Vanessa! It’s about time someone did Bogus Journey and I loved that you loved it (and that you loved all the weird cinematography and colour choices)! The studio wanted a sequel to the first movie that would have been Bill and Ted having to get historical figures to help them pass English or something, but the writers wanted to do something different. Alex Winter & Keanu Reeves totally agreed, saying that they wouldn’t do the film if they couldn’t do the version that the writers wanted. So we have this wonderfully weird sequel that dares to be different! Party on, dudes!

@@OnceUponaReaction It doesn’t happen very often, especially these days! But as you said in the video, so many films from the 80s and 90s are good because they’re just trying to entertain us. What we get these days usually feels “safe.” Oh, and you mentioned that the film got very grainy in the scene when they’re talking to God? It’s because they were using optical compositing to combine the actors with a painting or model. This process increases film grain because the shots have to be re-filmed to combine the images, and it’s really noticeable when the shots are as bright as they are in the heaven scenes! It’s one thing that digital FX has greatly improved. They should still use more practical FX though - you’re absolutely right about that!

The Time Machines are phone booths in homage to Doctor Who. Doctor Who was a British Sci-Fi TV series that ran for almost 30 years. There has been a recent re-boot. The main character, the Doctor, periodically regenerates so they can have a different actor playing him but the one constant in the series is the Time Machine in the shape of a 1960s Police Box, the forerunner of the phone booth 'Bogus' technically means 'not genuine', but in the language of the film it just means bad, the opposite of' Excellent'. Well done for spotting that the rock was the same as the one on the TV..

Alex Winter, who played Bill, also played his grandmother 🤮! The song they "play at the end" is Kiss playing a cover of Argent, by the way the soundtrack has my favorites, Megadeth, Faith No More and King's X! Keanu Reeves made a few comedies in the 80s, I recommend one that absolutely nobody mentions or talks about, The Night Before, it's not a spectacle, nothing original, but it's worth a look. And Keanu Reeves actually plays in a band, called Dogstar, he plays bass and I think they recently started playing again

It's cool when actors have to play other actor's characters when they are possessed or have swapped bodies, it happens in Sci-Fi a fair amount. 16:34 With the subtitle I can see that Missy's evil banishing spell is 'Ed and Chris will rule the World' backwards. While it's true Lucifer is the most often used name,. Sometimes the idea is that Beelzebub was another fallen angel, on Lucifer's side when he rebelled against God, but sometimes it just another name for the same entity. Thanks for providing an on-screen English translation for the film-making observations. It's ridiculous but it knows it and doesn't pretend it isn't, insteas it revels in its absurdity.

Holla , Let's Rock Vanessa 😎 🎸🤘 A whole lot wilder & imaginative for sure , I like how they've expanded on everything with the great sets , wacky costumes & cool props. Bill & Ted as goofy as ever there enthusiasm contagious , so hilarious playing off the reaper , he's dead on with the delivery , everyone said Sandler deserved a nomination. The lead villain so dramatic & treacherous , who else but an english actor like Joss Ackland , he's always played them. It looked like Keanu & Alex had a riot as there robot doubles , your never see them crashing through a windscreen today. The camera angles reminded me of those fun houses that used to be a thing & that crazy hourglass music video by squeeze. It proves how effective it can be just adding a filter , some tripping colours & a change in makeup can make all the difference. The journey to the gates of hell was mind-blowing & creative for it's time , it's another metal reference that Bill & Ted are obsessed with "This is not like I expected at all! , we got totally lied to by our Album covers" where were the skeletons playing guitars. Beelzebub was scary enough , a far cry from the Lucifer series you watched. Facing your childhood fears would be like a personal hell if it wasn't resolved , a oversized bunny the stuff of nightmares for any younger viewers & they were going to make it worser & bigger with razor claws , it's in the comic & can you believe that's Alex as the granny. When it comes to drill Sgt they do get up & personal shouting in your face like R lee ermey in full metal jacket. Challenging the Reaper goes back to the seventh seal by Ingmar Bergman , those games bring back fond memories , twister could get near impossible unless you knew yoga. I used to play electronic battleships , the explosion would light up with the sound effects , kinda in bad taste thinking about it now. Ha that's not fooling anyone sneaking into Heaven , I wonder if it as bright as that , there's another reference with stairway to heaven by Zeppelin , when asked about the meaning of life " every rose has its thorn" is the signature song by glam metal band Poison , there only number 1. The Alien scientist Station is amazingly made , he's called that due to the writers getting drunk & making a typo , I dunno why it wasn't changed. The actor Frank welker also voiced Garfield & Scooby doo characters. It's a Awesome moment when there DIY robots smash them to Smithereens. I like how they always finish on a high with a party , makes you feel like joining in on air guitar. I agree we need more fun loving creative comedys like this again. If you do watch face the music don't have any high expectations , can't say we didn't tell you so. Thanks alot , Ha like totally bitchin reaction from our favourite 🐥, I've already sent a donation , have a fantastic week Vanessa 🍿💕 🖐️

The first one was a small independent movie that almost didn't even come out, but was a bonafide hit on home video which exploded. So several years later, (BNT 1 was filmed in 1987, and didn't come out until 89) they got the chance to make a sequel. (edited to fix errors)

Whoa, whoa, wait, that's definitely incorrect. You're right that Excellent Adventure was made for next-to-nothing and took a while to get released, but your timeline is very off. It was filmed in 1987, and released in 1989. I know because I was there, I saw it in the theater, and I know where and when I did, and it definitely was not in 1987. Excellent Adventure was released in February 1989, Bogus Journey in July 1991.

Most of the words you couldn't think of in English are from Greek or German origins instead of Latin. The Dutch angle is also called the canted angle. It comes from the same root as decant(er) to decant a drink from a decanter you tilt it or cant it, making it canted as it pours. I love that you noticed the excellent cinematography as it really is a different level than the first one. the first one is mostly basic shots to move the story along, This one incorporates a lot of story telling done with the camera. The blue filter you noticed in one scene changing was because of the background brightness/color and when they were using split screen and not. Most of the time in older movies when you see one object in a different color or quality it is because that is being imposed over the film in some way. At that time it was mostly split screening where you would record the scene twice, once with the regular color actors, and again with the altered ones. then you play the films together and it looks like one picture with both sets of actors so you can color correct just one or the other for the desired effect. In that scene they were using some split screen, but might not have been for the whole scene. They were also using other things to create the possession effect. These may have needed the filter to compensate for too high of a contrast on the possession effect. But it could just be that the white background allowed you to see the color correction more, and the outside scene had it as well but the warmth of the natural colors made it seem like it was only on Bill and Ted.

20:11 🤔Well now, it's been a while since I've put any thought into it. I went through boot camp for the US Navy. Let me see what I can recall. The general public tends to be a lot more familiar with the arrangement in the Army. In Army boot camp, authority figures in the role _this_ man is occupying are known as Drill Sergeants, but in the Navy, at least at the time I enlisted, they were known as Recruit Division Commanders. Now make no mistake about it. In boot camp, you will find yourself wishing you had more privacy. There's really nothing you can do about that. There will also be a number of times that people will be getting into your personal space. They will actually tend _not_ to be drill masters, though. Boot camp has doctors, optometrists, dentists, and such. When you enlist in a branch of the Armed Forces, you're committing to a way of life. That means your health becomes something they have to look after.

Both the Bill and Ted movies have been reviewed to death so dont worry about having low views. I would recommend reacting to more obscure American horor movies which Hollywood is good at......

There is a third bill&ted. My least favourite, but as you’ve come this far you have to see it! Not as iconic as 1&2 but definitely worth watching! 👍👍

They don't REALLY give the sexes or genders of the babies. Only the names. The sequel explains this and it is fine.

It is funny when you call films you really like 'expectacular'. Why is it funny ? Because there is no such word haha. I guess you could call it 'a spectacular' if you thought it was a great film. That would be the closest to 'expectacular'. Maybe that is what you were trying to say but it got lost in translation ? 🤷‍♂

Don't bother with the 3rd one ...... Parenthood with Steve Martin and Keanu Reeves would be a good reaction movie.

I disagree! Not in the same league as 1&2. No comparison. But an enjoyable movie and concludes the whole story well. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion!👍

Simple solution for you: Don't watch her reaction if you don't like the movie. Then at least the people who like the movie get to enjoy her reaction. Should make no difference to you, but it will effect other people if she listens to people like you. This goes for all reactors and movies/shows, by the way.

While I heartily endorse Parenthood, I legit enjoyed Bill & Ted III. I found it sweet, even if it was a bit dopey. Of course, Carlin being unavailable hurt, but it's still worth watching.

@@OnceUponaReaction I think this person is complaining about the third movie. They are part of a very small minority of Americans that are selfish and hateful towards any groups that don't match their own. They use the word "woke" as a dog whistle to signify their hatred for anything that furthers the awareness or exposure of things like systemic oppression against women and minorities. And since the next movie has prominent female roles this person has been told by their favorite talking head to hate it under the nebulous guise of it being "woke" despite it having almost no political leaning in the entire film.
