Girl! Just a suggestion :) on your “hot to” tutorials, you should put a list of supplies in the description box. I just had to sit in hobby lobby and rewatch this video to find out exactly what I needed in the jewelry section 😂 totally not necessary because I love your videos and rewatch them often but in a pinch, it’d be super helpful ❤️

I agree. I skipped about the first 8 minutes of her talking about her beads and the supplies you need. When you're a crafter/jewelry maker, you already know what kind of supplies you'll need... and putting a written list does help a lot and saves time.

To properly open a jump ring you need to apply opposing pressure using 2 sets of pliers. This will allow the ring to easily come back together without distorting the intended shape of the ring. Watch any jewelry making beginners tutorial.

oh MAN! First off, thank you SO much for showing how to make (your style) of Boho Beads! I've wanted to know how you created your specifically before attempting to try it myself. And ...by FAR, they're the prettiest I've ever seen! They more than capture a "sytle" - they have a LIFE to them.. an essence - simply GORGEOUS! SO glad I discovered you on KZbin! Thanks for sharing!!! :D

Thank you for sharing your knowledge of how to make your beautiful beads!! I’m going to get busy!! I’m glad that it has already been mentioned that there is a more correct way to open your jump rings but they didn’t really explain how to do it. The best way to learn it is just to google how to open a jump ring because you want them to be strong and perfect like you! You do an amazing job!!💕

So so pretty! Thank you for sharing your technique, Nazy! This takes me back to my jewelry making days, I guess it is jewelry ... journal jewelry. Also, little seed beads can be added to the wire for a little bulkier bead. I would guess there are many variations that could be applied for lovely results. Thanks again honey for another great tutorial! Have a happy day and I am pretty much counting minutes to the kit reveal and listing....

Sue, your messages ALWAYS with no fail put a tremendous smile on my face, I seriously wish we could hangout one day and craft, wouldn't that be nice right! I have never heard of seed beads but they sound absolutely fascinating! I will definitely have to try them out with the future charms I create as I love learning knew techniques to use, thank you so much for always leaving such kind thoughtful comments, it makes creating videos all worth it sweetheart! Sending so much love to you and I fingers crossed you will pick up a kit darling! XOXO!!

Miss Nazy!!! What a high compliment you paid to me.....to wish to hang out and craft with me!!! Girl, that would be so much fun! Who knows, maybe someday....let me know if and whenever you come to the Seattle area and I'll make that happen:-) Seed beads are just little tiny beads, usually made of glass. They're different sizes, so i like to use the really teensy tiny beads for these. Actually, I think your tiny beads in this tutorial at each end of your Boho charm are seed beads! I'll post the Boho beads that I made inspired by your video on Instagram tomorrow, if you want to check them out, skchesley on Instagram. Also, where I live is on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, and to be honest, it's a sportsman's heaven over here. I wandered into a shop the other day, kind of a guy's crafting store, it's called Waters West, I think, and they sell everything needed to tie flies for fishing. I found WIRE in the finest sizes and the prettiest colors, for 1.95 a spool! They had more expensive, but I didn't need more expensive - they had feathers of just about any kind you could dream of, and what I believe is what women call 'angelina fibers' in every color imaginable. Anyway, they do sell online if anyone is interested. Thanks again Nazy, for the great compliment - sorry this reply is so wicked long! *hugs*

I've never made a journal before, therefor have no idea how to make a textile cover or how to put all the pages together. It looks like the wire is holding the thread (no glue used) but I would think you could put a very small dab of glue on each end of the thread to hold it in place until you wrap it with the wire. I wouldn't use too much glue because it will show.

I'm a real spend thrift, usually, making my books from clothes, i'm working on a couple from floral tops now, ha. Sometimes, you just gotta buy something a little special. We'll see, maybe the postage will be too much for me. Thanks again X

It's not really a bead, but more a charm, right? I know that beads have holes through the middle of them. Just curious, because I wouldn't be able to actually string these.
@Therivergypsy2023
@Therivergypsy2023 6 жыл бұрын
Sarah Lovesya yes charms. She does use beads on them... so I guess that’s why she says they are beads..? You can’t string these like your typical “bead”
@amitybloom159
@amitybloom159 6 жыл бұрын
Sarah Lovesya Yes your exactly right these are actually considered charms but the term that people use to refer to them are "bohemian beads" so that way if people were searching for a tutorial they would be able to find it easily ☺️ I hope this helped!
@amitybloom159
@amitybloom159 6 жыл бұрын
CriesPearls-Art Studio yea you can't, they are used more as charms, I just have it the title of bohemian bead because that is the term people use to refer to them :) maybe if you didn't close it, then you would be able to string them? I'll try it out and see if it works because these would be lovely for a bracelet!

Jump rings should be opened and closed with a twisting motion as to not stress the metal (because it could break). Using two pliers you twist open. Search for a video to explain better. :)

Yes. I suggest that too. I used to ruin my jump rings by doing it this way. They broke from the tension. Once I learned to do it the right way, I found that it was easier and quicker! It isn't hard to learn to do it the safe way.
@terriebrockmann9497
@terriebrockmann9497 5 жыл бұрын
Amity Bloom I know that anyone who has started making jewelry without an instructor has done it this way. I've had bad experiences with my jump rings breaking because of the strain on the metal. It is easy to learn the "right" way. I've seen some great video tuts on it. Maybe once you learn, you can make a video! Your tuts are easy to follow.
