BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.
The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury's lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

There’s something about him that I cannot explain, but I am being magnetised to him. He’s so pleasant and welcoming. Joseph Mazzello has charisma. I am thankful that I watched Bohemian Rhapsody because I discovered him.

What I like about this young man is his comment about why Queen were and still are so popular, he noted the vocal harmonies as well as the ability to keep creating new sounds, so many groups these days seem to have one tune, apparently 5 hours long that they just release bits of, because everything sounds exactly the same!

@@freddiemercury4evr Luke Deacon plays a patron of the bar where the band Smile were playing, near the beginning of the film. Freddie walks into the bar and, just before seeing Mary, walks past a young man who winks at him. That's Luke Deacon. Luke attended the world premiere, and apparently Joe Mazzello has remained in frequent contact with him. Luke and another of John's sons has seen the film and complimented Joe on his performance. I hope for Joe's sake that John Deacon does the same.

The casting for this film is the best I've seen. They all did amazingly well, including Joseph, and he's right, we musicians do look for that kind of thing and good actors always go the extra mile, whether it be about music or anything else. Most music films don't do that at all, only the best ones do. This is the best music biopic I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of them, I've also seen this one several times already. The best films do well because people go back and watch them again. That's not to say that the highest grossing films are always good, but this one most certainly is. A very clever and entertaining film, a nice tribute to Freddie, and it will ensure that new generations rediscover Queen's music.

I watched *"Bohemian Rhapsody"* yesterday, and OMG! What a movie! It's the best movie I'd seen since *"Jersey Boys".* I was literally singing along to all the songs that I recognised sung by Queen. Everything from "Bohemian Rhapsody" to "Radio Ga-Ga", I sang along to, not knowing or caring who could hear me. It was that awesome of a movie. :)

He had several big roles as a child actor both before and after Jurassic Park. He took a break to attend college and came back with one of the lead roles in the Spielberg/Hanks mini-series The Pacific, which was the sequel to Band of Brothers. Fantastic performance.

I think he obviously was hit hard, as all of them, but I guess it wasn't the only reason he retired. Maybe he wasn't enjoying that way of life and that profession in general to carry on. Maybe from some moment on he had been forcing himself to be a working musician at all.

He actually has been behind the lens! He directed a movie called 'Undrafted' back in 2016, based on his brother's experience with trying to get drafted into Major League baseball. I definitely recommend it, it's a great movie! Joe wrote, directed, co-produced AND starred in it! :D There's a cute interview of him just after 'Jurassic Park' came out where he talks about wanting to be a director, even back then :)
