Yeh. I did the same thing but I worked out to summon the bike and then, after a lot of hesitation went for the leap of faith off the cliff and was surprised to find I lived. You can summon the bike in many places you really shouldn't but hey ...

How does she know we are off-world, anyway? And then she participates in a crime against the Empire with a complete stranger... What if Kay was an imperial agent? This lazy writing is everywhere in the game. Crash on alien planet? Skilled mechanic with troubles fall into your lap. Sneaking in the home of a local crime boss? No problem - he will just be amused by your actions and let you leave... Then local broker is already waiting for you to explain everything to you and help you. Need some parts for your ship or a job? Your miraculous mechanic already knows where they are and how to get them. They are basically skipping everything that should be "in the middle" of a good story or a quest.

the droid disco is a cool little piece of fun. anyhow, I just realized how much Ubisoft is still doing Assassins Creed Origins over and over again. of course it was apparent from the start, but movements like when she squeezes herself through tight places really hammer this in.

So, let me get this straight: the Empire built a facility the size of an apartment block, excavated into a mountain, to strangle the Miroganid wind-farming economy (presumably just to be dicks about it), and the whole thing relies entirely on a phone-sized plug-and-play component they can't replace? Okay, new theory. This isn't the Empire being jerks just for laughs, that's just a side benefit. No, the actual purpose of the Imperial wind farm isn't a local monopoly, but is instead good old-fashioned graft. That accountant-in-a-jar Kay rescued last time can fact-check me here, but I'm gonna say the Imperial governor quietly owns hefty chunks of the local construction companies, and he talked a bunch of Core World investors with more credits than sense into funding a string of "infrastructure projects in developing markets". Then, when some vandal breaks in and shuts the wind farm down cold by stealing the irreplaceable key component, who cares? The investors' checks have already cleared and the facility was entirely unmanned anyway, so it's not the governor's problem.

I did the exact same thing with that jump that you did. You don't need to sprint is what I learned. Real pain in the ass. Also, with the rope swing. Hitting space is not a 100% sure win. It's just "You're most likely to make it..." you can still come off at odd angles and fall/miss to your death. It's weird. Not that it matters for you any more Jingles, but for anyone else looking in the Crimson dawn cache, once you climb back up the ladder, turn around and just jump over the ledge towards the stairs. You're out of the restricted zone before you land so no issue if you're seen jumping. I'm also not convinced you actually go any faster with the boost. It just shakes the screen and bit and ups the effects. Same with sprinting. If it is, it's only a very small amount. It just "looks" faster.

Several Jingles playthroughs in and I can't help but notice the 80% female characters in game (even the non-human ones). The Disney influence is strong with this one. Just an observation so far though.

Not only female, but also non-white. Only the BAAAAD people are white, like the Imperials. But Horizon Forbidden West was exactly the same, everyone important DEI, anyone not important, evil or cannon fodder either white and/or male.

I only play games like this on console because a controller sat on a sofa is just a better, more comfortable and relaxed experience. Sticks for movement are far better than keys because you can vary the amount of speed faaaarr more easily so I never struggled at all with any of the jump puzzles and it never even occurred to me that there’s a difference between jumping off lines or dropping off them, because it just makes sense to hit X for anything jump related. Aiming probably better on a mouse, but using a controller would’ve also saved you from that idiotic mouse steering on the speeder thing when you first started.

There's nothing preventing you from using a controller on PC. I agree on controllers being better for movement control and MnK for aiming.

Understandable that different controls take a bit of time to get used to and that you prefer ones that are more forgiving. I think Kay wasn't impressed with the paint job but rather more than doubling her current credits. Jingles making good use of fewer guards because of a quest. Also Jingles trying to infiltrate a base while wanted. (Unless I misunderstood something.) Never change.

Having just completed another go at Assassin Creed Odyssey this wasn't an issue as it was for you but I do sympathise. When you play one game and the next one is sort of similar but at crucial points it is not it can really screw with you. Oh I reinstalled the game on a new SSD and my falling through the scenery disappeared, even allowed me to actually not die of old age taking off and landing on planets. Should have done this a week ago.

Completely automated facility with maintenance ducts. Check. Also just reincarnating you on the inside with the speeder? Bad and lazy game design. Should have been multiple ways; if only a safe way out to gather the speeder, so you could recharge the mag-thingie and try again. Preferably a second route without speeder.

My big questions that I do not think that Jingles has answered are...how much did he pay for the game? DId he buy the $70, the $110, or the $130 version of it? And...once he reaches the end of the game, I guess...does he think that the game was worth whatever price he paid. Personally...I don't know that I could ever spend even $70 on a game and NOT have some kind of really negative feelings about that if the game was not pretty much perfect.
