"Gekkehenkie" is definitely Dutch, with "gekke" meaning "crazy" and "Henkie" being a somewhat nickname, somewhat actual name which is taken from the actual name "Henk". In other words, the full translation is "Crazy Henkie", but I think the appropriate term would be "crazy Dutch bastard" - very fitting for this replay

A premium *bidding* service, where you bid doubloons in an open auction before the match and the highest bidder get control of Admiral Mode. Maybe you get the doubloons refunded if you loose the auction, maybe WG just takes the money. Oh wait, they do that already.

That Kagero is probably one of the best team mates I've seen in the game in a long while. I'm usually forced to spot when I play gunboat DDs while my spotting DDs sit in their smoke and wait until someone else spots for them.

In fact, Hank comes from an old form of John (or Johan), so rather from Dutch than English. All 3 Akizukis deserve praise and recognition! One is very fluffy and has a very respectable reputation of being The Protector of The Mighty Gnome Overlord, one who is an "AA Escort" destroyer that does a better job shredding ships bigger than her and then you got lovable duck destroyer whose design I'd fall over heels for.

If it were earlier in the game, it would probably be worth trying to put the fighters outside most of the air defenses so they'll be able to spot the carrier for longer. But when it's the last enemy ship standing, better to get a few seconds of spotting than to spend more time maneuvering for the perfect shot.

Jingles, the kagero actually has pretty decent guns (argued best in the IJN torp line). you just have to be choosy about using them, won plenty of duels with DDs that were not expecting me to shoot them with guns, and a well aimed salvo can take off a big chunk
