You can get your strips so perfect Jim! The dresser turned out just adorable. It updated that dresser and the stripes put a more modern spin on it. What a true trash to treasure!

I truly do enjoy that you 2 find pieces like this to show people that even pieces that aren't exceptionally great hand-me-down quality can look really good at a reasonable price. This is amazing for the single parents, newly divorced, or fresh out of high school 1st apartment people that just want something pretty and functional and all theirs in their space. Thank you so much for being you!

That's a clean, tasteful and lovely flip. No gender or age limitations, this piece could fit just about anywhere. The stripes are 'just enough' - plus it elevates it to special. When Jim mentioned 'college dorm' - it was an automatic 'Yes please!'. Well done, as always!

Wow what a transformation. Yous took that sad little dresser and made it into a little gem. Cindy I love the idea of how you used a box for painting the hardware. Never thought about putting your hand in underneath to hold the screw part. Thanks for sharing that idea,,it'll definitely be used here in my shop. As always, thanks for another great video.

Very nice. Good work! Staging could be a tad bit better. It didn't do anything for the piece. Please take that as constructive criticism. Suggestion: Either go antique or modern... not in the middle for staging.

Nice, does the paint used require a clear coat finish?
@FurnitureWarriors2 жыл бұрын
Rethunk Junk is a resin paint and does not require a top coat. They do have a product called Tuff Top that can be used for areas that may need extra protection. Thanks!

This is adorable!!! I’m a single mom & im just getting ready to attempt start my own furniture flipping side business bc I am tired of never having any extra $ UNLESS I’m kicking myself at work never get to be home with my kids I just had baby whos 4 mos. so I have been doing this for years for personal furniture I’m so nervous to put the $ out to start this bc I don’t have much extra but think I’ll be able to make some extra $ so we can do fun things together or get some special things instead of all $ always just going to bills & living paycheck to paycheck never getting to do anything fun with my children (obviously don’t get any help from dad he was abusive so it’s been a very tough 7 mos but I know I can do anything for my children!!) thank you guys so much for the videos I’d love ur opinion on some tips for me to be able to start this as budget friendly as possible but still get Job done right’?! I would absolutely LOVE LOVE to get a airbrush machine like that I wonder if I’ll ever be able to find a second hand one’? Well good job keep making videos u help inspire me I begin in my grandparents home/garage learning how to be crafty when my mom passed away I was young so my grandparents helped my dad raise us kids I miss them terribly u guys make me smile & make me feel like I’m back in their garage helping out your videos were a sign to me that I can do this & my grandparents would be proud!!! So thank u for that have an amazing flipping day lol!!! 💕
@FurnitureWarriors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! You can absolutely do this!! Start by taking your time to find a piece that is already in good shape and is being given away. With a little patience, you can find them on FB marketplace. You can scuff sand by hand without much problem, and you can use Rethunk Junk or another All in One paint to make the job easier! Thanks for sharing! You're awesome! Jim & Cindy
@joolson66642 жыл бұрын
Did I miss something? What did you do with the flaw on the top where the finish had broken off?
@FurnitureWarriors2 жыл бұрын
This was not much more than a paper finish over MDF (very thin finish). We sanded over it when we did the scuff sand and the exposed MDF was sealed when we did our primer coat. Thanks Jo! We probably should have made it more obvious what was going on with that.😉

I was wondering what happened to you guys? Hope all is well with both of you.
@lindz9162 жыл бұрын
It’s nice, but I’m just curious why it was called “Boho” makeover? That was why I clicked on it, but besides the staging I mean, it’s a standard farmhouse type piece. Like I said, it’s nice, just not boho in style is all.
