Hey guys!! Welcome to my Budget Boho Makeover Series Marathon!! Over this past summer, we went to my sister's starter home in South Phoenix & helped them transform 5 spaces in their home, into completely new, beautiful & functional spaces... all on a budget of course! You can’t seriously expect me to pick one thing! I love everything you did! Totally amazing. What a wonderful sister and brother-in-law you are! And what a wonderful sister and brother-in-law to trust in you to do it. You and Kyle are just delightful. I can’t wait to finish this last room. My sister and my kids just don’t get that I am not imposing my taste on them. A good designer works with THEIR likes and needs, just brings skills they don’t have to the design. I love virtually all styles and enjoy working with them. My sister just wants me to agree with everything she does. Like rejects lowering the hems of her drapes (6” above the floor) to the floor. No. I’m not going to say it looks good. It doesn’t. She didn’t like my suggestion about paint for her kitchen cabinets, so she sent her lazy 40y.o never worked freeloading son to the basement to find left over paint. COBALT BLUE! I have NO idea what they would have used that on! And she has a small 50s ranch with a pass through which you can see from the living room! 😖 You have no idea how much I envy you. I’m 2 years younger. You would think at 75 and 77 she’d be able to take advice from a sister who studied interior design and has a degree in art. Sorry. It makes me so exasperated and sad. I could make her space so beautiful for her. Anyway, please excuse the venting. I have thoroughly watching the entire transformation. I love area rugs on carpet and I really love the textured one you found! ❤ Shirley

Patio/outside: You are such a wonderful sister! That night shot really shows off your hard work. Great job. Guest Bedroom: the accent wall and stencil with the long curtains really super size this room. The After room appears so much bigger than the Before. BRAVA! Living Room + : I like how you swap the couches. It makes more of a divider with the larger couch back to the kitchen area. Everything was so thoughtful! 👏 Pantry: Sooo organized! Now she'll know exactly what she needs. Master Bedroom: stunning transformation! I really love that you gave Mom her own space in the bedroom. It's really amazing the differences with each makeover being in daylight and night light. Those in themselves are their own transformations! Great work from you and your husband in these makeovers. 👏👏

Master bedroom colour; great choice. Agree warms room and feels more homey, relaxed, personal. Love the 'feature wall' behind the bed. Rug becomes a feature, but more so breaks up the single floor colour. This would be my favourite room. Well done.

Hi from Australia, my name is sharon we mostly use quilt covers for sure they are much better and you can change them heaps often for different looks and moods without having to buy new quilts all the time just put the quilts in different covers, hope that makes sense. I have already taken down my Christmas decor. As you know sometimes you already taken everything down and I walked outside today and realized I didn't take down my garden flag. All is well now. I usually do winter decor which consists of winter flag with snow on it and the bare trees. Indo leave my cardinals up because each time I see one it reminds me of my heavenly family. You and Kyle really knocked out the downstairs in no time flat. I want to wish you New Year blessings. Good things for you, Kyle, and the boys. Patio is such a transformation! Love love it. Would really like to see in evening hours. Fav tho are the planters-would like to see just one more in order to cover 3 sides of air conditioner unit! Really like the blue/white on walls, print but best are your curtains and rods! Living room is again a real winner & favs are furniture placement and floating shelves. Can holders are the greatest for pantry along with see-through containers! Bedroom is so cozy and the end of bed bench is fab! You two have created magic!! Good job.

I love the patio, really great for starters... The slashed stencil wall we just don't care for. It's too busy and modern for our taste. The colors are great though. Board and batten behind the bed would have been perfect with that dark color. Still watching the rest of the video. It's so nice of you to help your sister and brother in law out. They are so busy. I love the Pantry. I'm doing my cans this way and the clear containers, but we will do plastic baskets and later some day, add the labels. WE are on a tight budget, ss retirement low income. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm going to do the cans after this video. I already have the rack on the inside of the door hanging up. The party has already been painted 2 years ago and I added pretty shelf liner that can be easily removed. We have a few more shelves and the pantry closet is larger, so we have a place to store paper towels and paper plates and napkins and plastic ware and plastic dishwasher safe dishware to use out on the patio. We love your ideas! So easy and customized. Great job! Love the master bedroom, we dud a color from Sherwin Williams called Watery, it's an Aqua shade and we adore it! I just need to touch up some walls after we redecorated the wall decor on some walls. Love your colors and the pantry shelves being 2 colors looks so nice! 😍

wow, i loved your makeover, really something doable and i loved the colors you used to paint. im in israel. yup we use duvet covers. thanks for the tip on how to fill them. i finally after 35 years realized i can easily just mark with permanent marker the inside quilt with initials for top, bottom and side so i know to put it in without measuring.

the living room looks awesome. i always put down a rug pad under my rugs: a) protect the floor from dirt and grit that will accumulate under it ( i live in michigan but i imagine this would be especially the case in Arizona);’and b) it adds cushioning and prevents rug to shift 😉

This is my favorite room I love how warm and cozy it is and I love the idea of the mirrors over the lights. Love the addition of the carpet over the carpet beautiful texture and had so much to the room. I do not use a duvet I used to but I don't like them as much as I do just the ordinary blankets Etc. You did a beautiful job of your sister's home and your husband you should be so proud your work is wonderful and I got a lot of hands out of that pantry do over. I painted kitchen cupboards two tone. The owners had changed the shelves to white melamine but hadn't painted the old box walls and sides; they looked old and dirty so I painted the box black and the two tone black and white looks fabulous.
