This makeover turned out to be absolutely gorgeous!!!! I just love it all, the paint color and knobs on the cabinets, the faux beam ( paint), the breakfast nook, fandelier, just absolutely everything about it is perfect. The coffee bar area turned out perfect too. You can tell how much the owners just loved it so much. Can’t wait for the next one. 😊❤😊

Congratulations to all. Amanda and Kyle worked so hard to make Lisa and Jeff's kitchen and breakfast nook look so fabulous. I would not have thought of putting those lovely curtains in the area. Wow, they made it so cozy and beautiful. They worked so hard to finish the furniture and island, and it shows. The light fixtures and lamp behind the corner nook set are so pretty. I'll bet the grands will love having cozy meals and snacks in the corner nook set. The coffee bar/table came out terrific as well. The rooms came out so nice and functional. I am stunned by what you were able to accomplish in such a short amount of time, and for so little money! It’s a spectacular makeover. Loved the furniture and all the storage you gave them that will be out of sight and not clutter up the space. The beam was perfect. And I loved the pin boards for all the “artwork “!

I think you two have done fantastic. Not just on budget, but on the colours, and the decision's on what you went for furniture wise for the lovely couple. You could see on their faces they were genuinely excited, and thoroughly loved everything, and yes she noticed the faux beam you did, and her face lit up, so you did good girl. You work effortlessly together, and get things done so efficiently, you two are just meant to be together,full stop. So you get a big thumbs up from me, can't wait to see some more. Loved the room rescue and thought you & Kyle did a great job. Living in a warmer climate the fandelier was really needed. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the new corner & bench seating, which is based on the fact I'm older & have mobility issues. I would have preferred a traditional table & chairs. Love the lighter color in the kitchen & the cork boards to display items from the grandkids. Can't wait for next room resvue.

I live in South Australia and watch your videos usually while I do my dishes. You guys do an amazing job. I’m like you Amanda and have had hashimotos for 28 yrs. Also my hubby is a handyman just like Kyle. We are 55 now but still have so much left to Reno in our home including bathroom pull out and redo. I got a mold illness from this bathroom when water leaked into the bedrooms but with treatment I’m getting back on track thankfully. Bedrooms are renovated and just living area needs refresh. We built our home out in the country in 1990. We love it. Small 3 bedroom house we raised our three kids in 💕 Can’t wait to get ours underway and you guys are a true inspiration. Love love love your first room rescue… can’t wait to see many more xx

I agree. I usually love everything they do but even painted, the table set still looks outdated crammed into the corner. Wayfair had many of that style but more modern that would have matched the coffee bar.

@@Jewelleanita1 if we had a larger budget, we definitely could have looked into a piece that was already finished etc, but with doing so much to the space & staying on (and under) budget, this was what we came up with 🤍 and in the end, we are so happy that Jeff & Lisa love it … when we had spoken off camera, she mentioned how she loved dining nooks & the farmhouse style, so this seemed to fit them really well 😘

I’m impressed with the fandilier ❤and of course by the whole makeover. The kitchen went from cluttered, sad and drab. To clean lines beautifully decorated with new paint, curtains and cabinets that look like new. Pin board, an excellent way to showcase children’s art work. I too recently changed out our coffe pot and separate Kuerig for an all in one. Brilliant idea on your part . Too see there reactions were priceless 😮😊. When painting cabinet fronts, I usually do the back side first so that if the paint gets marred by the supports (cups in your case), the last thing you're doing is the fronts and it'll be on the back side. Project looks great

That’s usually what I do too! I didn’t this time because we were SO short on time, that we weren’t sure if we would be able to paint the backs on this day at all, and wanted to ensure the fronts got paint priority lol - but such a great tip to note!

So glad you explained about making sure that when the drapes are open they should reveal as much of the window as possible I order to maximize the light. So many decorators talk about taking the rod to the ceiling, but then cover the glass even when the drapes are open all the way. Also having the drapes extend from wall to wall makes the space seem wider in a narrow room.
