I really dislike when designers call a perfune "intense" and it smells nothing like the original. I returned Dolce and Gabbana The Only One intense because of that. It's annoying! Just make an intense of the OG and call it a day.

Dang, what a disappointment! I love the original DBIR. I guess I should be happy that now I don’t feel the pressure to buy the intense. Actually, the note structure is almost identical to another perfume in my collection, Roberto Cavalli, but instead of jasmine it has orange blossom in the mid. And that one can be found for around $15! Thanks for reviewing!

I got this today from Ulta. They only had a sample bottle of the original. I sprayed it on my wrist and I liked it right away. They showed that it had similar notes in the intense. So seeing the word “intense” that it would be the same but more. I like it. In beginning you can smell a sweet and the floral. But it calms way down to the powdery smell. I think it’s a little different. I didn’t think that it was like Alien Goddess. Goddess has more of a beach smell. I got a sweaty person who’s been wearing sun tan lotion all day at the beach. I didn’t like Goddess but that’s me. I liked the Valentino better. Although I do wish that I’d gotten the original instead of the intense bc you can tell a difference. But I do still like the intense. I’m wearing it now and sniffing and it does smell good. I’ll see how everyone reacts to it at work tomorrow.❤❤❤

It smells like alien goddess intense to me which has a heavier floral and jasmine note, Not the OG alien goddess that has that beach vibe. But I’m glad you liked it !

I feel like this should’ve been called “Born in Roma NOIR” as opposed to “Intense” coz its giving more evening/ cool weather vibes. I’ve tested both the original and this one and they smell pretty much the same but the “intense” one just didnt have that youthful, flirty sweetness to it. Its still sweet but its a more mature kind of sweetness. Longevity is about the same as the original which last about 4-6 hours on my skin which is disappointing for a perfume that claims to be intense. Now im looking to get a full bottle of the original coz i feel like i can get more use out of it and its more versatile in my opinion.
