Over on the "Now Smell This" blog, it lists extra notes: "A floral amber developed by perfumers Amandine Marie and Honorine Blanc, with bergamot, blackcurrant, vanilla, jasmine and benzoin." You were right about the extra fruity, berry note in there! I'm not sure why Fragrantica missed this. Great review, as always!

I agree with you that Born in Roma is unique, but I never would have known it by the way most people talk about it. I’m lucky that a got a sample in my Sephora package years ago. I immediately loved it, and I ended up getting a full size bottle. The only thing is I rarely use it because it smells so special! Gonna have to get over that.

I feel the exact same way about Angelique Noire by Guerlain. I’m obsessed with the drydown, literally perfect…but I struggle to get past that green note at the top 😞
