Kawasan is binisaya or Visayan word. It has 2 root words: 1) "kawas" which means drop-off 2) "awas" which means overflow. "-an" suffix describes the place where.

@3:05: i think "kawasan" means cascade: a small waterfall, typically one of several that fall in stages down a steep rocky slope. btw, that bike zipline at the chocolate hills adventure park is one of my favorite ziplines in the country. i hope you guys can go & visit mindanao, too. particularly davao city so you can try the skyswing at the eden nature park. it's a giant swing that hoists you up 80 feet above the ground. & while you're already in davao city, you can take the ferry to samal island & try the giant slide (130 feet) into the ocean. lastly, you can go whitewater rafting in davao as well. me & my friends tremendously enjoyed all 3 activities & so i hope you guys can try them as well.

The man-made forest in Bohol is actually planted to benefit the watershed for the hydro-electric power plant down stream at Loboc River. And was extended to make the Rajah Sikatuna National Park.

If you love waterfalls I suggest you go to Baler Aurora. You see there the mother of falls called Mother Falls. There are other waterfalls as well. Apart from that, Baler is a surf capital and so there are other things to do there. Foods are affordable too.
