The worlds largest mobile stage... They rented the Hockenheimring (a racetraxk) for 2 weeks. Played 4 concerts with each a 100.000 viewers. Sold out within less than an hour. Each Tour, with several Shows...sold out within hours.. They are the band with the biggest fanbase. The fans are aged from 10/12 years up to 60 and older. It's the most succesful Rockband in german history.

It's the most peaceful party with more than 120k of "nephews and nieces", that's how the band call their fan-community. Being an Onkelz-Fan is more than listening their music or visiting some concerts, they belong to many lives, it's a kind of religion to many people 🤘🏻 I don't know any other band that appeals to such a wide age range, you see children from 12/13 years with their parents and even with their grandparents, age doesn't matter. That's what connects so many people with each other, as I said before, it really has something religious, unifying, strengthening,... really indescribable!! VIVA los Tioz, long live the Onkelz 🤘🏻

The Onkelz are the most succesful Band from Germany. Founded in 1980, always these four guys. Matt Röhr, guitar; Stafan Weidner, Bass; Peter Schorowski, drums and Kevin Russell, vocals. They came from punk in the 80s, to Oi, to skin to rock. They are controverse and they love it. All of their songs have meaning and they dare to speak truth, when many people decide not to. Also they have been skins for only about 2 years (of the 43) media and other bands still brand them as na*is. Thats why they are boycotted, they are NEVER on radio or TV. To become a fan...well someone handed you a CD and thats how it starts...for me in 1994. In 2005 they decided to split up because Kevin had a massive drug adiction problem. He tried to clean up, but when he messed up at concert infront of the Virgin CEO, they said "You cant have a band with a drug adict" After the split up Kevin got really down, he crashed his car into another and was sentenced to jail. He got therapie and due to his health problems he got 30% of his brain removed. However 9,5 years later they said "lets meet, nothing special, just meet and see how we get along. Kevin is in better health thn ever before" It klickt and in 2014 they came back. The concert you are watching had 4 days and 100.000 people each day. Or to parafrase a statement about them. "On their first gig, they had 20 visitors at best...... at "Böhse fürs leben / evil for life" there has been 400.000"

Maybe you also like "Pushed again" from "die toten Hosen" (the dead pants) it is a German Punk Band from Düsseldorf. Most of their songs ate German, but this one is english. To me "die Böhsen Onkelz", "die Toten Hosen" and "die Ärzte" belong to the best rock bands on stage, with no need for a big show.

Their first album was a staple in the german neo nazi scene. They later distanced themselves from their old stuff and i kinda like some of their newer songs but i still think that leaves a bad taste.

They never was national-socialist, even on their first album they spoke about "12 dark years", sure they have a few racist and right wing songs - but since 1987 their music was non-political, and since 1993 they wrote a couple of songs against fascism, rascim and extremism in general ... so no bad taste for me since a long long time!
