What an interesting dessert! I have never heard of Carnation Cream in a little can like that, just Evaporated milk and Sweetened Condensed Milk. I never heard of a potato pastry either or made a boiled pudding! Have you ever baked a potato pastry and if so what is the texture?

hi Bonita, can you please tell me the name of, and where you purchased the locking pudding can? I cannot find that model anywhere, I live in Ontario, Thank You

fred rice hi and thank you for your message and visiting Bonita's kitchen, this pudding tin have been in our family for years and I'm not sure where you can purchase them. But using other tins with lids or a tomato tin with a cotton bag inside works great. If I find a place that supply them I will message you. Thanks again. Bonita

thank you very much, it seems everyone uses bags in a pudding mould, but the locking can you use is so much easier.
@bonitaskitchen7 жыл бұрын
fred rice I agree but the key is to lock must of the steam in the tin or cotton bag, plus the tin is only in the water about a one inch and a half. If you put foil wrap on the top of the tin and tide a piece of string around it that will work too. I notice you can purchase pudding tins on Amazon, also at bed bath and beyond you can check it out. I hope that helps you, have a wonderful day. Bonita
Thanks Bonita, I think I will use the pudding bags because it will probably be easier. thanks again

hi Bonita, I located the locking pudding can at www.homesteadjunction.ca , click on the 'food storage' tab and you'll see "airtight 3 clip container by Onex" and they come in different sizes. What is the diameter of yours? thanks and best wishes

fred rice Thank You for sending me the link this will be good for anyone that is looking for one of them, I love making steamed puddings and those cans makes life much easier. I'm thinking the one I used was about 4" wide by 3" depth, I also have a taller one I use with the cotton peases pudding bag. Thanks again Bonita

Hey Bonita. Would you ever consider sorting all of your recipes into playlists on your channel? I see you have two playlists so far and they are quite helpful, but I think it would be very handy if you sorted the other videos as well. For example, non-traditional recipes, dinner recipes, etc. It would help your viewers easily find recipes. Think on it. :)

Can you not just use a ceramic bowl lined with plastic wrap of parchment paper, with a tea towel on top?
@bonitaskitchen7 жыл бұрын
GoranMak I'm thinking that the bowl may crack, if you already used the method then it would be fine. But a cotton bag or parchment paper inside a tin can or stainless steel bowl, can work too. This pudding is so delicious you will be making this one every week. Thank you for your message Bonita
@GoranMak7 жыл бұрын
A stainless steel bowl will work I guess. I will look for one of those pudding pots though! Thanks Bonita!
