after syrup make it, can wait a little bit to cool? or after ready direct to slowly mix to egg? coz I try to make it the result down my icing is like a going to liquid.

hello, once you reach the exact temperature of the syrup, pour it immediately to beaten eggwhite slowly, its liquidy maybe because your syrup is not fully cooked. ty

It can stay longer. I can’t tell the exact number of days but I tried all the measurements of her recipe, it is still stiff even upto 4 days. Room temperature.

Dana Attieh under room temperature, it can survive without direct heat from the sun. But putting it in the refrigerator can give a fresh effect or it’s still looking fresh. ☺️ it also helps when delivering the product. It doesn’t melt

Hi, thank you for the recipe. I tried with half measurements ..... It tastes good, however it's not holding stiff peak. It's in drip constituency. Where did I go wrong? As I didn't have cream of tartar I used lemon juice. Please advice.

Boiled icing is a few hundred years old and along the way people lose instructions to it. For boiled icing to work you remove the sugar from the fire when it reaches soft ball stage. Use a candy thermometer. Soft ball stage is 235-240 Fahrenheit. I'm sharing that detail because it's more than just when the sugar is boiling

I ❤ love this recipe! When I was a little kid my mother would make my cake with this type of icing. I have a little question. When I use to get my Birthday Cake, the icing would be a very, very little bit crust on it. I loved it this way, and I miss it It was just lite bit crunchy, but never, ever hard, just a very light crust on it. Will it get just a very light crust if I leave it to set in refrigerator overnight, and to table for serving 30 minutes before hand. I only ask because I LOVED IT WITH A LITE CRUST. Will it set up with a very, slight little crust? I'm sorry for bugging you. Thank 💕 you so much. I appreciate your time!

When this icing dries, does it dry a little bit kinda hard/crunchy and in a really sweet hard, crunchy, sweet and really tasty way? Will this icing harden? Will it crack? How long can u left it outside? Is this very sweet, or can I add 2 more egg whites? Need to do a wedding cake - 2 tier, bottom 4 layers with filling and top tier 6 layers with filling - will it support the cake? Filling will be berrys in a sweet syrup with creamchease(essence) mixed with icing. Red velvet cake!!!!!

Mam angel, may kinalaman ba sa ratio ng sugar at egg whites ang consistency? Kc gumawa ako ng 3 xl na eggs tapos 1cup sugar in 1/3 of water...stif sia nung na mix ko...pero after 2 hrs na maiapply q na sia a cake.. nag tubig at lumobo
