4 air changes before ignition, i believe is what the standard is.

Great explanation about the importance of the right amount of air in combustion. Really enjoy the videos

This channel has been very helpful and often referenced by my instructor. Would you guys ever consider making a video of start up procedures of a cold water tube boiler?

Glad to hear we are helping out the industry! We will look at doing a video like that maybe in the future. Appreciate the comment! Thanks for watching

I too have worked in a carbon black plant, several foundries and quite a few cremation and animal incineration plants. I have certainly seen some of the worst places on this planet all thanks to doing combustion work.

the boiler's blower and the part it plays during combustion. is the best

As usual excellent video. 3% of what is required for combination?
@Caloooomi5 жыл бұрын
3% excess oxygen. Around 20% of air, so 15% excess air requirement

Depends on the burner design. On older inefficient burners dropping stack O² below 5% would give loads of CO and combustibles. Better designs have a longer burn dwell time meaning the gas/air mixture is in the ignition area longer allowing for a more complete burn. Lower O² results in lower stack temperatures by reducing the pushing or shoving effect of excess air.

If you guys opened a training facility in Canada, yall would corner the market.
