Why 28? So at 1 psig for each 28”of rise…… Every 8 feet of rise would equal 3.28 Psig hmmm? When in the field it’s more like 6ish?

In a condensate return system can we just mix it with cold water instead of dumping it? Greetings wareboilers
@FreshCutFrenchFries14 күн бұрын
Condensate return is basically hot water mixing it with cold water very inefficient and will consume more energy. Corrosion is a big factor too. It's shocks the systems due to temperature difference but it not impossible , I have seen (but very rare) heat exchangers installed to reduce high temperature condensate to a lower temperature to be used in other process water applications

Can you explain why we put positive transmiter in the high point in boiler and negative transmiter in the low point
@viniciusantunes141519 күн бұрын
First, this photo shows the engine machinery described in the video as being from the Titanic. In fact, this machinery was from the Britannic, one of the two sister ships of the Titanic. Why come and ask, "How do you know?" Simple, the number "433" is written in large letters on the engine. "433" was the chassis number of the Britannic, while the chassis number of the Titanic was "401". Second, the photo shows the three propellers of the Titanic. They are actually from the Olympic, which is the twin ship of the Titanic. For those who don't know, this photo was taken in January 1924. In addition, of the three ships in the class, the Titanic was the only one built with a 3-blade central propeller, while the Olympic and the Britannic were built with a 4-blade central propeller.

Thanks for the clarification! You know your Titanic; we need to consult you next time we cover the Titanic. lol Thanks again!

@@wareboilers Yes my friend, I am an enthusiast of the Olympic Class Ships, the 3 Ships of the Class called Olympic Chassis "400", Titanic "401" and Britannic "433", were built between 1909 and 1914, after the sinking of the Titanic, both the Olympic and the Britannic that was still under construction were refurbished, when the First World War began in October 1914 the Britannic was converted into a Hospital Ship and never made the Passenger Service, Traveling 5 Times from London to Mudros in the Ottoman Empire, on its Sixth Voyage it Hit a Naval Mine and Sank 1.71 KM from the Island of Kea, 152 Meters below the waterline.
@viniciusantunes141515 күн бұрын
@@wareboilers Olympic, which has Chassis "400", is my favorite ship of the class. She made her maiden voyage on June 14, 1911. She collided with 3 ships in her history, especially the cruiser HMS Hawke in September 1911, the German submarine U-103, which she sank on May 27, 1918, and the LV-117 Nantucket in October 1934. She was one of the 8 ships to respond to Titanic's distress calls during her sinking, and because she was 800 km from her twin ship, Olympic took over relaying distress calls to any vessel that could help, but her captain Herbert Haddock changed Olympic's course to head towards Titanic in November 1914. During World War I, Olympic rescued the crew of HMS Audacious who had hit a naval mine, and tried to tow the military ship to France, but the cruiser ended up exploding, In February 1915, the Olympic was requisitioned by the British Admiralty to serve as a troop transport ship and until 1919 carried more than 6 thousand men on each trip along with oil from Halifax in Canada, to New York, London, Naples and Mudros, In 1917 and 1918, the Olympic was attacked by a Bulgarian plane and torpedoed 3 times, two of these torpedoes hit the hull but none of them exploded, in May 1918, the Olympic was attacked by the submarine U-103, its crew retaliated by attacking the submarine with the 4 cannons installed on the ship, but it was by passing over the submarine and cutting it in half that the Olympic defeated the U-103, this gave it It earned the nickname "Old Reliable." During the war, the crew of the Olympic and the people of Halifax developed a friendship, and every time the Olympic arrived, the people of the city would party. In 1919, when the Olympic took the soldiers back to Halifax, a 3-day party was organized on the ship. In 1919, the Olympic was refurbished to operate on diesel oil. In 1924, it was the first ship to test the floating dry dock, which was a novelty at the time. The 1920s were also the golden decade for the ship. In it, the Olympic carried not only more than 70% of the White Star Line's passengers, but most of the film actors and actresses crossed the Atlantic, preferably with it. Charles Chaplin really liked the ship at that time and this earned the Olympic the nickname "Ship of Cinema." Violet Jessop survived. to the Sinking of the Titanic and the Britannic, Work for 1/3 on the Olympic, both in 1911 and after 1919, in 1934 the Olympic saw the White Star Line being bought by the Cunard Line and merged into the Cunard-White Star, the Olympic's last voyage began on May 30, 1935, in 1937 it was sold to a steel mill in the city of Jarrow in Scotland and dismantled.

It's got to be cleaned! Check with your water treatment provider, they sometime have a tech or know a company that can do the job. Probably a good time to do a "tube" inspection depending how bad it is . Good luck!

I used steam last Thanksgiving to the green beans that arrived late and cold heated quickly. Heated an empty pot for a couple minutes, tossed in a shot of water, like 2 tbsp, which started boiling almost immediately. Then another shot. Poured in the green beans. At first I thought the beans would kill the steam but they didn't as the hot water on the bottom kept making steam. A light cover and the beans heated. Put another shot of water in if it starts to go dry. The key seems to be to get the steam up, don't have a mass of water that can be cooled and of course the beans were not a solid mass so the steam could flow around and give up that latent heat. And depending on you heat source, I use a glass top resistance element, you can turn off the eye and let the residual heat finish it off without worrying about burning if you just make sure it won't go dry in the first few minutes.

Correct me if I’m wrong but the top (1/3) valve is set higher than the bottom (2/3) valve. Example would be setting your 1/3 to 50 PSI after setting your 2/3 to 47 PSI. Once the 1/3 can no longer maintain the load, the pressure drops to 47 PSI and the 2/3 opens as well.
