Sir, in Heat loss due to moisture present in air considered only m*c*∆t part, latent heat part not considered due to moisture is already in vapor form, FD air pass through APH in that its temp increases around 145-160°c, so all moisture evaporates in vapor form, so it is consuming heat from West heat not from fuel combustion heat, so that part not accounted?

Here we are interested only in the heat loss of the fuel we are using as we are concerned with efficiency of boiler. The installation of Air Preheater is increasing the efficiency of the boiler system as a whole and not of boiler individually.

When water is in liquid phase specific heat is 1 and when in moisture/vapor phase it is 0.45 unit being kcal/Kg degC

How can specific heat of water be 0.45 kcal/kg?? Isn't by definition it should be 1 kcal/kg?

Specific heat of water is one while that of moisture/ water vapour is 0.45.
