they always do this right before a level jump. They also usually do 2 in a row Having said that if you do want to spend, spend it on toons that are being reworked and at least get something for it

I have just shy of half a billion gold ready for the level cap, 482 million, the idea of a single diamond on mehpisto does not entice me into blowing my wad. So thanks matey I will steer clear of this and wait.

Quit the game today and went back to playing CoC. Just bought the season pass, and guess how much it was FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF DECEMBER…. IT WAS $2.99. Fuck paying $80 a month just for the passes and then another $150 for characters just to be competitive.

as an end game player. i used to farm the training gold orbs but you are better off doing the training gold orb fragments with the showcase events. if you using campaign energy do training mat orbs. I am bottlenecked on gold but not training mats. so they keep increasing until i get the gold to actually use them lol. if you only doing the gold orbs you will find yourself lacking in training mats and you would run out of gold anyway

There have always been bottlenecks in the game economy to restrict progress on leveling characters. Whether it's Training Materials, Gold or Iso-8 in its various forms (ions/crystals)

Also people are going to be spending near 1 billion gold for a 3 diamond Mephisto, but Knull will be out in just a couple months and completely negate that 3 diamond Mephisto, even though it's just a 4 yellow Knull!!

these were in game when I checked at reset, they are now gone. A couple of them were either fucked up or had errors in their descriptions. One of them said there were character shards in it and it had ZERO shards in it, it was all gear.

The Gold store now has 4 orbs Heroic Golden Ring Orb: 300k - teal gear, pillars show the same Isotope Golden Ring Orb: 400k - T2 Lvl 4-5 Ions and T2 Iso-8 Crystals - pillars show character shards Augmented Golden Ring Orb: 600k - Text says T16-T18 Aug gear, but the pillars show T2 Lvl 4/5 ions & fragments Crimson Golden Ring Orb: 600k - text says T19 gear, pillars show the same Milestone gives you points worth 10% of the gold spent. EG buy a 600k orb, get 60k points towards the milestone.

they dropped them in game, they are now removed. I'd imagine the errors in them are the cause. One of those orbs said it contained character shards, and it had none in them

if all your predictions of reworked characters are true, we have enough characters to spend our gold on. And then I don't see it as a trap, when I would have spend the money anyways. Usually I wait for official communication before I upgrade rumored reworked characters, but until now, all your predictions were correct, so I will spend at least one hundred million on these characters.

Hey Boilon, the orbs just went live a few minutes ago, and they are fuuuucked up. The one that says it gives character shards gives teal gear, the one that says it gives T2 iso gives the character shards, and the teal gear orb has the T2 stuff. Figured I'd tip you off.

8 rework + 2 from absolute A force => from 0 to 100 => 230 m gold, so not far for newer kraken to spend usefully (old kraken they are already upped)

Great informational video. Thanks Boilon! Unfortunately, the events are becoming more traps and illogical and pay to win like. Despite the fact that they have been losing players left and right recently. So sad, such a good game is literally taking a deep dive to the ground. I mean it is so obvious they are trying to milk everything they can with the players they currently have from the OML diamond deals and shit.. Their shitty deals even on black Friday, them trying to sell mephisto 7 red star for 395$ when we literally have an orb. Which is bizarre, because we already have almost zero trust in them, now I understand why I got 8 times 1 diamond oath, 1 time 1 diamond kraven, and 1 time 2 diamond oath from total of 10 mephisto orbs. Such a shame... Seems like we are gonna lose this game in about 6 months of time, strictly because the way they are running it. Down.

I'm still grinding for DD6 and estimating to spend up to 45m gold for the legendaries so I guess this would be a good time to do it. Getting the gold however is another story lol. EDIT: I didn't realize the payout for War is this week. That might be what I need, but I'm worried about this trap. Do you think the SuS diamond is worth exhausting all my gold?

I'm just after Seven Red Mephisto. I open 4 of these orbs have my 5 one waiting and once the store updates i'll have a 6th orb. Opening 2 orbs in a row today and testing my luck. The pulls have been great. I gotten 3 Diamond 3 upgrades and Diamond 1 for Oath which i didn't have for her. It is worth going for the Seven red Mephisto because I personally didn't get Seven Reds on my Odin so DPC will be going to him next after I put a 4th red on my Captain Britian. Not sure if my CB will get a 5th star but if so I would be willing to put a 5 red on him as Odin will take time. We are getting Diamonds for OML soon hopefully so Diamonds on Mephisto not going to happen anytime. Diamond 3 Skrull is a trap. They want you to spend on D3 Skrull before OML diamonds come out. OML just the better value. You'll live with a D2 Skrull. He kind of gotten worse as time went on as soon when the devs didn't give a damn about us for saving/grinding his Diamond 2 out for months.

And to add to this. After all those mega gold orbs we gotten. Not once have i ever gotten a 100 million pull. Been hurting for gold recently with the new toon release method. And they want others to waste even more gold before the level cap increase happens early next year. I'm stock on crimson gear so i don't mind. will of course take my favorite toons to lvl 105 and the ones who are helpful in my favorite game modes but that will end up taking months to catch up. The krakens will be spending fast and CC will become who has the better stats again as well as War just a little.

i back to hoarding campaign energy. i have over 10k iso energy cuz i thought iso spending event was coming but it turned out to be spending campaign energy like 4 weeks in a row back to back. i'll be spending gold naturally so no problem hoarding yellow energy and still getting free to play milestones. don't care for diamond mephisto it for the spenders as usual.

Of course its a trap, its in the name. Gold. When there are players with billions of gold stockpiled, they have to give incentives for the whales and krakens to bring those levels down, and how better than Mephisto? Be glad it's not Odin Reds or diamonds

If you are an end game player you should be able to get and spend 6M gold daily anyway. That’s 42M point by itself over 7 days plus 30M from shadow orb frags plus 9M from the web milestone. That’s 80M already through normal play. When you get to milestone 15 you get 6M gold. That leaves another 38M points to get to milestone 17 with the two mephisto orbs. I know a lot of players don’t have that kind of gold saved but a lot do (I’ll be sitting on 90M after war payout). If you also have the TMs to go with that gold, it’s as good a time as any to use it. I agree that nobody except krakens should be pushing for top 1000, but I think it’s going too far to dismiss the entire event as a trap.
