Bottom line if scopely starts making characters pay only, I will no longer play this game or support scopely. People can say anything they want to me or scopely but that is a line that if they cross it, there is no going back and I won't be any part of it. Good luck to all that stay. They already do that. Mephisto is pay only unless you wanna grind for a year. Same with every Dark dimension. Zombie juggs pay only still.

@@billychel9449 zuggs release had a f2p unlock, and mephisto is in the game for every person to get over time. Some faster than others if the pay. Where as CPT Britain will only be available if you pay, if not, they remove the event and you're screwed until it comes back. And since they compared the epic tag to Zim and zuggs It took one year for both to come back to the game, so even if you hit the 7 stars on illuminati within 6 months f2p you still have to wait another 6 to have a chance at the event again. And with zuggs, he wasn't a must have, just nice if you got him. All the content creators are saying the team is a must have with CPT Britain, and meh without... The whole scenario seems fucked up and not a direction I think anyone let alone the game should be going.

It’s more similar to what Naruto online did to get Madara 10-tails back in his release. To get him you literally had to spend $1000 in one month on other offers, and you unlocked him. No other way to do it, many of us quit the game the month after that finished and they announced the next toon to do that coming later in the year

You've literally been about the only reason I've continued to play this game, I was ready to uninstall when the OML event started. Playing a game shouldn't make you feel bad and thats all this game does now. It's clearly dying and wasting more money and time on a dying game seems silly af. I would really prefer, they just say: You can unlock this character at X stars for $250, you can buy the offer for a week, in 6 months, we will let ftp start to unlock it. Guess this is why there are 6 because they want FTP to have a whole team that probably will be better than average, but Cap Britain will make them unbeatable.

I watched 3 envoy vids so far about the new illuminati team as of now and i sense the lack of rage and disappointment from them. They were more livid before for lesser issues. It looks to me that this was run by them (heck some were even able to test it already) and they know something is in the horizon or maybe just in NDA that they're not panicking as much. Just my thoughts and speculations.

My guess is that because the original legendary unlock method went from paywalled to more easier to unlock F2P on 1st go they can't go back. Plus doing well in Blitz was part of that as blitz used to be an unlock method. So they had to find a scopely way(complicated) to unlock that let them control the unlock and entice whales to spend. The old method left most with a 2nd pass unlock BUT if you did well in blitz and hoarded resources and cores you maybe could unlock 1st pass unlock. But blitz favored older players who were willing to grind. This just favors whales.

F2P players can still play against 95% of players who are F2P. Unless you are in the CC league with whales, I will just skip the team completely.

You only need the characters, at 3 yellow to get the Captain Britain Shields, not 5 stars. 3 Y get you to finish Chapter 2-1 that drops the shields. However, as you say, Hank Pym FTP event wont happen before the Team Showcase so we DO need to buy him, but only up to 3 Yellow.

It depends. I think they’re more likely to respond to negative feedback if it threatens whales and kraken spenders ? Because if they boycott they lose money. That being said I’ve been part of the reason why events have been more reasonable for F2P or had things corrected lol.

I do not like the way this sounds. As a endgame ftp player of 5 years or more, I continue to play this game because I'm able to unlock all new characters. Not having CB in Cc sounds bad on top of players starting get mephisto, I feel like that's gonna be hard to stay in my league yet alone advance. If I can't compete where I want n characters continue to be payed for, quitting is definitely on my mind. After 5+ years, that sucks.

They never said they were going to change this. They told us in advance yes, but it was basically "here's what we're going to do, now go tell everyone". Not everything gets changed based on our feedback. They either decide to take the feedback and make adjustments, or not.
