On-the-fence indeed: This remarkable girl was turning into a lady right before our eyes. The young, fresh voice already resembled a grown woman's at age 15 and this "Andy Hardy" appearance shows Judy's ability to act as well as sing at the same time. Amazingly, there was one more film appearance (in "Listen, Darling") to go before "Oz" made her immortal forever. Truly a time capsule of greatness.

I just want to say I've been a huge fan of all your channels for years. Not only is it great to see you make a comeback, but your timing is impeccable because I've become obsessed recently with obtaining some of the best mixes from the Judy Garland songbook. And then you come and share two Judy stereo mixes in the span of a week. I just received the new UK "Soundtracks" album in the mail yesterday which did a bangup job restoring a good number of her film tunes. But, anyway, excellent job on this and all of your other videos. They're always so entertaining and fascinating to watch and listen to. I look forward to seeing more in the future!

@boinx1234 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't have labeled it stereo if it wasn't. All MGM songs from the mid-30s on were recorded in multichannel sound, and then mixed to mono for the release prints. Those multi-track recordings survived and were later mixed to true stereo.
